Later edit:
The owner claims in his response the venue was closed for a private party and that a sign was posted outside. Also claims we have been told, upon our arrival, the restaurant was closed for the said private party, especially a wedding. However, the sign, had it been there, was carefully made inconspicuous as we did not see it. However, I accept it was there as I do not have a proof otherwise and we were too hungry to check for that. Having said that, afaik there is a difference between telling us "we are fully booked" and telling us "we are closed for a private party". The latter never happened. We would have accepted and understood the situation had we been told that.
The review, indeed, is meaningless for the food quality, but it is relevant, as far as I consider, for the friendliness of the staff. As mentioned before, we did call several times and nobody answered. I consider it to be good practice for any business to answer calls or call back in order to avoid such unpleasant encounters, especially since, in order to get there, you need to hike quite a bit.
In conclusion, thank you for best wishes regarding our trip to Austria, I wish you all the best in your business management and please, be asured, after this unfortunate event, I am really not willing to enter your establishment. After this exchange of messages, it would be quite awkward, don't you agree, sir?
Staff very unfriendly. Came there, found an empty terrace, were told it was fully booked. We were with children, maybe it is just child unfriendly.
Never going to go there again, we usually leave a hefty amount of money for our dinners.
We called several times before walking over there, but there was no...
Read moreThey don't answer the telephone (gave 3 calls), nor call back. Very poor communication. This is a kids unfriendly place. When they seen we are with kids, they said that they are fully booked, while inside they had at least 3 empty tables and the terace was with no guests. No empathy for hungry kids. They should just say on their webside that it is an adults only restaurant.
Later edit: the next day I received a call. When the guy found out I am the one with this review, he started to insult me. So, if he does not like your review on service or food, be prepared to be insulted. Looking back at reviews, it appears I'm not the first to be insulted.
Second later edit: you said "fully booked", not "private event" or "wedding". There was no sign outside nor did you show it to us. There was no wedding: people were sitting at separate tables, dressed cassually, there were free tables inside, no wedding set ups, etc.. It's just a lie. Comming to a restaurant without reservation is not arrogant. We just got annoyed when we've seen you not wanting our kids in your place. Threats that we will never be accepted in your restaurants just makes me laugh. It shows what type of person you are. For your information, we can live without your food and there are plenty of restaurants in the area that are...
Read moreGesamtpaket passt perfekt!
