Restaurant Eissee — Restaurant in Flattach

On April 19,2025, I was sitting on the open terace of a restaurant, sitting in chairs, like about 20 other guests. Suddenly, a piece of ice the size of a brick fell from antenna above the terrace and while I was sitting hit me in both legs above the knee. You can only imagine how much the falling piece of ice missed my head and my daughter who was sitting next to me. I was left with pain in both my thigh muscles that I happily endure when I think about what could have happened.

What I want to say is that the owner of the building, the architect, the designer and the official who allowed the building to operate can only thank divine providence that they do not have a human live on their conscience.

Because placing a huge steel antenna above the heads of unsuspecting guests, on an already high restaurant building, is scandalous in such an unpredictable high-mountain enviroment and all of the above should be held responsible for such gross negligence and endangerment of public safety.

So close the restaurant terrace until the situation is resolved because it will...

Very nice place with an incredible view. We had lunch here which is a buffet where you can go get food at various counters and then pay and take your tray with food and drinks to a place you like to sit down by yourself. Honestly I don't mind getting my food like that but that's why it is 4 stars because to be perfect and get 5 stars there would have been a wait staff. Food is really good even though the kitchen staff seemed a bit confused that we wanted our Germknödel with butter not with vanilla sauce, perhaps the have more guests that like it with vanilla sauce. We were lucky and it was a very sunny day so we were able to sit outside. You gotta be here early if you wanna sit outside for lunch because at like 12.30 to 1pm you didn't really get a spot there. To sum up it is a very nice place. Great view. Alright prices. And the bathrooms are also clean. So definitly worth to go get your lunch there after a awesome morning...

The prices of the food are reasonable, but the quality you get is below average. The Kaiserschmarrn did not taste well, and also the french fries with nuggets were at most average. The portions itself were big enough. The prices of the drinks are expensive, e.g. €5,90 for 0,5l Apple juice mixed with soda. On the Terrasse you have a great view on the mountains. Unfortunately you often smelled the toilets instead of the mountain air. The restaurant is...
