Hu Bin — Restaurant in Gemeinde Gaißau

My boss took me here for dinner along with some other members of my team, and I was not too sure what to expect. Similar to fancier Chinese restaurants in the USA, meals are served over multiple courses and for the entree section the entrees are shared among the table.

The food was fantastic and I would strongly recommend going here if you are looking for a nice Chinese dinner. The atmosphere is very neat, the entire restaurant is a boat that is alongside the canal. You can either eat outside on the top deck or below inside of the boat.

The waiters are incredibly helpful and were even kind enough to retrieve my colleague's wallet when he accidentally knocked it off the side of the boat onto the bank...

the view and the location is great. you feel like on a real ship. the staff is friendly. the food is not. I had dim sum as a start. it tasted old :( then i had the homemade springrole that one was soso. it was too doughy. on the main course suit an sour chicken. they tested like rubbers. and 8 schätze. i had so many cartylage in the meat. disgusting. it tasted like rubber. the desert. fruit salad. nothing can go wrong there.

i don't recomend that restaurant to anyone. or at least not the...

Positiv

ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden mal eine etwas andere Location Sehr schnelle Bedienung, heißt: kein langes warten auf die Getränke, und auch die einzelnen Gänge im Menü kommen zügig nacheinander sehr leckere Suppe gute Frühlingsrolle zartes Rindfleischgericht Das Personal ist freundlich

Negativ Das Mobiliar wirkt "altbacken" und ist nicht sonderlich bequem Ambiente ist nicht gemütlich Leider war die knusprige Ente zwar knusprig, aber auch totgegart, also furztrocken. Das Obst im Obstsalat war nicht so hochwertig (aber immerhin kein Dosenobst)

• Fazit*

Wir haben das Menü D für 2 Personen (je 32,90 €) gewählt. Dafür gab es 2 sehr leckere Suppen, 2 gute Frühlingsrollen, 1x knusprige Ente (leider sehr trocken weil zu sehr durchgegart, und auch kaum gewürzt), 1x zartes Rindfleisch mit Gemüse (im grossen und ganzen ganz gut, aber auch hier hat Würze gefehlt), und 2 Desserts (Obstsalat, der zwar mit frischem Obst zubereitet war, aber die Obstqualität war nicht so doll)

Das Ambiente war so mittelmäßig, auch wenn die Location an sich wirklich mal was anderes und auch cool ist, hat das Mobiliar das ganze doch irgendwie wieder gemindert.

Für das Essen (Menü D für 2 Personen) und jeweils 1 Getränk haben wir 74,- € bezahlt, was wir als moderat bezeichnen.

Wir werden bestimmt irgendwann nochmal dort Essen. Dann hoffentlich in schönerem Ambiente und vielleicht auch etwas...
