The restaurant was recommended by the manager of another hotel we were staying at. We are American and don't really speak German. We arrived and requested a table. We were immediately seated. The gentleman we encountered was VERY nice and helpful. He recommended the cream of pumpkin soup (beyond delicious) and a boneless fried chicken dish. The food was amazing! The service was great and the dining area was cozy. He recommended the sour cream ice cream and a raspberry ice cream (or sorbet). DON'T leave without having the sour cream ice cream!! It tasted like cheesecake! He took the time to talk with us about our trip to Austria and told us a little about himself. He made us feel right at home and like we were friends! If I am ever in Austria again I will DEFINITELY eat here...

The hotel isn't fancy - it's a traditional Alpine inn, and it is very comfortable and clean. It can get a bit warm in summer - most hotels in the area don't have air conditioning - but the cool mountain air rolled in overnight. The room included breakfast, which had a nice selection of cheese and sliced meats, delicious fresh bread, assorted cereals, and eggs. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.
