Boutique Spa Hotel Fritsch am Berg — Restaurant in Gemeinde Lochau

Stayed for two days (Tue-Thurs), with one of their packages that included room, two treatments and half-board (breakfast and 5-course dinner). This is excellent value for money. 30 euro extra per night to stay in the Rheintal room as a single.||||Positives:||||+ Spa area is stunning! Can highly recommend. Very clean and has everything you would want.||+ Treatments: The facial (with extraction, I added both an extra) was truly the best I have probably experienced in my life. Kudos to you, Susanne! I feel 5 years younger!||+ The manager of the restaurant (Beate I believe her name is) was an example of the Austrian hospitality I would expect. Friendly and accommodating; interacted well with the guests. Thank you for making a difference!||+ the views at sunset are INCREDIBLE. It's no wonder the restaurant was at capacity my first night (guests and visitors.)||||Constructive feedback||||- Ok let's talk dinner: They seem to have a tempo of 20-25 minutes between courses. Fine if you are a group but I was a solo traveller and 2 hours first night (at capacity) and 2.20 hours the second night (not at capacity) was a bit too long for the five-course meal (with only one cooked and one soup - the rest cold.) They should ask if in advance you want things more quickly (I tried, it didn't really work.)||- Enthusiasm of the dinner staff (outside of manager) was a bit lacking - hard to get the attention of servers when I wanted to speed things up. Breakfast crew much more energetic and friendly!||- Check-in process was a bit cold. A transaction, not more. I expected more of a "welcome" so was a bit surprised.||- My room was facing the sun, so it was overly-warm. It's not possible to control from the room and it apparently takes a while to reduce it centrally. Could open the window, which helped at night.||- The relaxation area outside was nice, however, there seemed to be some small groups of women who loved to talk. I would love this to be an indicated relaxation-zone where it could be kept to a whisper in respect to the other guests.||All in all, I can absolutely recommend this hotel. (Ich bin selber Hotelfachmann und habe 25 Jahre Erfahrung im 5* Bereich)

Leider war das Zimmer nicht sauber, fast 20 Haare selber weggeräumt (dann der Rezeption gemeldet), leider nach einmaligem nach-putzen immer noch dreckig. Die restlichen Haare wurden erst weggeräumt nach dem ich mehrere Zettel auf dem Boden verteilt habe!!! Zimmer ziemlich staubig. Keine Heizung im Zimmer (es war recht kühl), gritting im Bad für Handtücher ging nicht, Telefon und Safe im Zimmer beide auch defekt)

Heizkörper mit mindestens 20 verschiedenen Nagellack spuren (man kann diese auch wegputzen!!!)

Vorhang konnte man zwar zuziehen, aber so dass es mindestens an einer Stelle eine Lücke gab entweder links oder rechts oder in der Mitte. (Was morgens sehr nervig war)

Dann war unter meinem Fenster der Platz, wo das Personal raucht. Das habe ich dann mehrfach gehört und auch zum Teil gerochen!

Ich habe einen Kuchen zu meinem Geburtstag aufs Zimmer bekommen, was natürlich nett ist, aber da war nicht mal eine Chlose drüber, geschweige denn war er mit Plastikfolie abgedeckt.

Service im Restaurant gewollt aber leider nicht wirklich gekonnt.

Die 10 Liegen im SPA waren immer besetzt.

Massagen sehr gut, Spa Personal auch top. Frühstücks Auswahl OK, nachmittags „Buffet“ ein Witz. Handtücher sauber, Bettwäsche sauber.

Wäre es nicht mein Geburtstag gewesen hätte ich mich tierisch beschwert! Ich wollte einfach keine Zeit und Nerven damit vergeuden.

Preis Leistung leider nicht gut, es gibt einige Hotels die viel mehr / besseres bieten für einen geringeren Preis! (Zb Juffing Hotel in Hintertiersee)

Also der Safe hat nicht funktioniert! Mir braucht jetzt keiner im Nachhinein zu sagen, dass ich es nicht geschafft hätte, den Safe zu bedienen.

Dann sagen Sie, es gab die Option von einem anderen Zimmer ja, nachdem ich mich beschwert hatte, da der Blick nicht ins Grüne war wie auf ihrer Webseite angegeben, sondern auf ein Parkplatz (wo, wie schon erwähnt, mehrfach am Tag, das ganze Küchen und Service und Wellnessbereich Personal dort ihre Pausen verbringt und raucht) wurde mir angeboten für mehr Geld ein Update zu bezahlen! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Und zu sagen, dass es liege Möglichkeiten gibt draußen im Garten oder im Poolbereich interessiert mich nicht, wenn ich im Wellnessbereich bin nach der Sauna -noch mal 80 Leute im Wellnessbereich und 14 Leute liegen das ist einfach schrecklich.

Also muss man jetzt an der Rezeption anrufen, wenn man die Klimaanlage oder die Heizung anmachen möchte? Das ist ja schon mal dumm dazu kommt wenn das Telefon im Zimmer nicht funktioniert doppelt dumm.

Der Service war auf dem Niveau von einem durchschnittlichen Wirtshaus. Sowohl die Weinverkostung hat nicht wirklich funktioniert. Dann wurde ich unterm Tisch getreten ohne Entschuldigung dann wurde ich fast ignoriert, weil ich als einzelner Kunde nicht viel Umsatz mache. Dann wurde mit mir gesprochen, während dem die Kellnerin immer am Tisch vorbeigegangen ist zum nächsten Tisch also extrem halt halbherzig. Dann wurde zum Teil von der falschen Seite serviert. Dann wurde kein einziges Mal erwähnt, was ich zum Essen bekomme.

Und sie sagen, die Probleme hätten ganz schnell gelöst werden, wenn ich mich gemeldet hätte. Ich hab mich innerhalb von 5 Minuten bei der Rezeption gemeldet. Da wurde mir nur gesagt ich darf gerne für ein teures Zimmer bezahlen. Und während diesem Gespräch habe ich auch erwähnt, dass das Zimmer Telefon nicht geht, weil ich von meinem Schweizer Handy aus anrufen musste was auch immer sehr teuer ist. Aber ich glaube das hat sie einfach ignoriert oder nicht gehört weil es wurde nicht drauf eingegangen. Da verschwende ich doch nicht weitere Zeit von meinem Geburtstagswochenende, um Ihnen zu sagen, was alles falsch ist. Das Schlimmste war einfach wirklich die Sauberkeit des Service und dann das nicht auffüllen...
