We went to this cafe when we were walking on the mountain in winter. We were a little cold and went to the cafe to warm up. We did not expect it to be so cozy, warm, so authentic. The fireplace made us very happy. But most of all we liked goulash, I don’t even cook such a delicious dish at home. We were very pleased. Very nice restaurant with a great view. The ambiance and food is very nice. You can reach here by car or by foot from the base. The kitchen closes early so order food early. The kase Spätzle is really amazing and you also get very nice options of beverages. It's a self service restaurant. You order and pay first at the counter and collect your plates once they give out the coupon numbers. Please do reserve a table 1-2 days before coming so you get the best table with the best view. Quaint little place with great views, it is not a "hidden secret" as it does get quite busy, - you may wait around 30min for your food depending on time, however staff was very friendly & they let you know if there is a delay. Käsepatzle & Kaiserschmarrn may not be the best you can get in Austria but are still nice & prices...
