Restaurant Fossil — Restaurant in Gemeinde Purbach

Fossil was an awesome surprise in our excursion to Purbach. When we entered Kellergasse we found it and decided to have dinner there before having a couple of drinks in the Kellers.

And what a good decision that was. I come from a region where ducks breast (magret) is taken very seriously. The one we ate transported me to my childhood, perfect crispy fat and butter-textured juicy pink meat. The celery and the figs were just perfectly decorating and complementing the duck, providing a great experience.

das essen war gut, haubenküche schmeckt allerdings schon nochmal anders. das preisleistungsverhältnis passt definitiv nicht!!!

4,5€ pro person für gedeck und gruß des hauses ... allerdings bekamen wir zu viert zwei gupferl aufstrich, zwei eier und je ein scheibchen brot. zusätzliches gebäck gab es auf anfrage. allerdings musste es erst aufgebacken werden ...mit aufpreis für uns. der äußerst bemüht und freundliche kellner hat sich entschuldigt, dass das osterbrot abgezählt ist und es deshalb nichts nachgibt. bei nur zwei anderen gästen dürften sie wirklich sehr knapp kalkuliert haben.

zur guten fischsuppe 19€ ... kein gebäck

der wildkräutersalat um 15,80 war ein normaler salat mit viel kerbel drauf ... und das im frühling, wo alles blüht, sehr enttäuschend .... und wieder mal kein gebäck

wenn man über 250€zahlt und das leitungswasser auch extra verrechnet wird, ist das ziemlich kleinlich.
