Seppi's on Isskogel — Restaurant in Gerlos

Nice atmosphere with bad food and bad service.

Stopped for lunch at Seppi‘s and were greeted by a nice view and a DJ playing live music. However when it comes to the food and the overall service it was very disappointing. The pricing is on the level of a high quality restaurant with 20€ for a salad and 5€ for a draft beer, 0,25l (ordered by friends we were with). Other drinks also small yet expensive (you’d expect 0,5l for the price) The salad was not what you’d expect for the price. Basic lettuce salad with mediocre dressing, no crunch at all. It came with cheese dumplings that were dry and rock hard. The Germknödel was alright but not up to Austrian standards. Bad experience. My skiing equipment was stolen from the front of the restaurant. There are no video cameras. I left all the contact details at the bar in case the equipment was restored. The next day I went again to the restaurant to ask for the equipment and I found out that it was restored, but the personnel did not contact me. Instead, they gave my equipment to someone else just because theirs was also stolen. When I lost mine, they had other restored equipments from previous days (so this seems to be a common practice here) but they did not offer me the option to take another equipment. I do not recommend for the general sense of lack of trust and employees...

The biggest apfelstrudel of my life! Nice hut which seems to be pretty famous, you can notice it with the higher prices. The strudel is an anomaly as its amazing price/quantity ratio.

Service was a bit weird as it was stated we needed to order at a cash registry, but then I was sent away at 2 cash registries cause I needed the specific one in my table area (first one send me upstairs and second one outside). I find it strange that you can't just order at any registry, technology is far enough to have a system for that.

Anyway it was still a nice hutte and definitely recommend the apfelstrudel, but the other items, like the 17 euro tiroler gröstl are...
