The Griffen service station is one of our favourite stopping places in Austria, every time we travel to Italy or Salzburg. Nearby the station, down in the village centre there is a huge rock on top of which there is a beautiful old castle. It sits there so proud, a reminder of the country's glorious past, when the Austro-hungarian Empire ruled this part of Europe. The view from the service station to the castle is astonishingly beautiful. The castle catches your eyes right from the motorway, so it cannot be missed if you travel from Graz to the South West. It is a lovely place for a break, food, drinks are great, too, and the view from the outside terrace is really relaxing to the eye...particularly after a few hours of driving...a spot on place! Mein Mann und ich waren heute gegen Abend hier essen. Ich muss sagen wir waren in der Vergangenheit regelmäßig (einmal im Monat) essen. Letzten Monat habe ich mir schon gedacht der Service hat nachgelassen... oder schlechter Tag. Kann ja passieren. Aber nach dem heutigen Besuch in diesem Restaurant bin ich nur noch enttäuscht und wütend. 10 min warte Zeit bis die Dame kam und nach den getränken gefragt hat. Nach weiteren 20 min wurden wir endlich gefragt wegen dem essen, es war jetz nit wirklich viel los und das Servicepersonal war sehr in einem gespräch (in Muttersprache nicht Deutsch) vertieft. Als wir das Essen vor uns hatten war die Dame so schnell weg das ich wieder einige Minuten warten musste bis ich um einen Dip für mein Schnitzel bitten konnte... das was mich wirklich sauer macht kommt jetzt. Die 2 Servicekräfte stehen bei Ihren Tisch reden wirklich lange die eine hat mein Ketchup in der Hand und hält es nicht für nötig mir als zahlender Kunde meinen Dip zu bringen. Ich habe auf die uhr geschaut... Statt mir mein Ketchup zu bringen war es nötiger 9 Minuten mit der Kollegin zu ratschen und mein Ketchup mit Handgestiken herum zu schläudern... Wir sind keine Pingeligen Menschen wir versteh wenn viel los ist... aber es war nicht so. Wenn man jetz glaubt das der Zahlvorgang reibungslos ablief muss ich euch leider enttäuschen. Mein Mann frage höfflich die Inkasso Kellnerin (weil sie gerade am neben Tisch war) ob wir auch Zahlen dürften. In einem wirklich unfreundlichen Ton kam ein : bin gleich da... ok hat wohl wer anders zuerst gefragt.

Wieder ewiges warten die Kellnerin blieb rundherum stehen bei jeden Tisch nur zu uns kam sie nicht mehr.

Als sie vorbei lief fragte mein Mann nochmals obs jetz möglich wäre zu zahlen. Wieder sehr unfreundlich geantwortet: ja genau.

Ich habe für viel verständnis und ich arbeit auch mit menschen... aber für so ein verhalten habe ich kein verständnis.

Ich bin auch beim überlegen ob ich mein hart verdientes Geld nochmal in dieses Restaurant trage.
