the lady serving us was extremely nice, but the food was terrible for a restaurant that is in the middle of the city with a 4.6 score. as warned at 8:30 the waiting time for the food was over an hour but I waited for nothing. I ordered chicken wings that on their website looked fried in corn flakes but when the dish arrived they were greasy, very spicy chicken wings with oversalted fries. those were replaced with some chicken sticks that tasted very poorly as well as you could taste day old oil in them and that's about it. the appel strudel was mediocre and extremely warm. the salads were good, and the first round of drinks (warmish beer) and the chicken sticks were on them because the food was not what it was on the website. however as appreciated the discount was, i wanted nothing more but...

Great food! And plenty choice. I might come back to try some different dishes. It is plenty, if not too much. And all for a reasonable price. I really liked the soup as a starter (leberknödelsuppe). The 2 person meat dish contains nice selection of pork, chicken and beef. Especially the sauce was very good. A nice touch when serving: they start a special tune on the speakers as an "anouncement" of your meal. Inhabergeführtes Steakhaus auf österreichische Art. Personal bzw. die Chefin hat uns beim Platzieren erst einen Platz im Gang vor der Küche zugewiesen und direkt gemerkt, dass uns dieser nicht so zusagte. Darauf wurde ohne darauf hinzuweisen ein schöner Eckplatz fertig gemacht der noch nicht geräumt war. Bestellt haben wir ein Ladysteak und ein TriTip / Huferschwanzl / Bürgermeisterstück Steak. Das Fleisch vom Almochsen war vom Geschmack her sehr gut und top zubereitet. Kommt aber von der Konsistenz nicht an ein südamerikanisches (Hereford oder Black Angus) heran. Beilagenportion üppig, hier wird nicht gegeizt. Selbst bei einem kleinen Lady Steak Gericht war der Teller randvoll. Dies ist in der Gastronomie nicht sehr oft der Fall, deswegen besonders lobenswert. Als Vorspeise gab es einen sehr leckeren, frischen Salat und selbstgemachte Kürbissuppe. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Leider kam während des Essens eine grosse Gruppe lautstarker Holländer (15 Personen) herein die akustisch das ganze Lokal unterhielt. Wir hätten gerne noch den Nachtisch probiert, sind aber dann doch geflüchtet, weil ein normales Gespräch nicht mehr möglich war.

Da man in einem Restaurant auch das Ambiente mit bezahlt und wir nicht in einer Bar waren, hätten wir vom Personal eine kleine Lautstärkenreduzierung erwartet. Zumindest nach ein paar Minuten. Auch bei einer so grossen, zahlungswilligen Gruppe hätte man wenigsten einen kleinen Versuch unternehmen können. Dies wäre sicherlich nicht einfach, aber die anderen Gäste hätten den Versuch gedankt.
