Paulerhof — Restaurant in Hippach

We spent 1 month living at the Paulerhof throughout the whole of August having moved to Austria from the UK.

We can't have been made to feel any more welcome. The whole family that own and run the guesthouse and restaurant were amazing. Friendly, helpful and lovely to get to know.

We stayed in apartment Matilda as a couple plus our dog. The apartment isn't big, however it was bigger than we expected it to be. It had all the facilities you'd hope for, which allowed us to cook through out the month we were there.

The views from the guesthouse are stunning. They have a lovely garden accessed from the restaurant overlooking the valley, and you can also see the deer that they farm.

On the topic of restaurant meals, the food we had in the restaurant is the best we've experienced so far during our time in Austria. Really good quality, super tasty, and even including venison dishes from the deer they raise and farm themselves.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Paulerhof, and will be taking all our friends and family back for meals when they visit, and we'll also be visiting for a drink regularly ourselves to see the family again who I'd like to think are more like...

This gasthaus is a gem, and not just for the great atmosphere and the nice people. It's the fact that they offer deer that was raised at their own farm and processed in house, in a wide range of choices ranging from light ravioli's, burgers up to absolutely delicious traditional meals. Unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant war ein wirklich besonderes Erlebnis, das wir gerne teilen möchten. Wir kamen zu einer Zeit an, als die Küche eigentlich schon mit den Aufräumarbeiten für den Abend beschäftigt war und die regulären Essenszeiten vorbei waren. Doch anstatt uns wegzuschicken, wurden wir mit einer bemerkenswerten Freundlichkeit und Zuvorkommenheit empfangen, die uns beeindruckt hat. Das Team zeigte eine unglaubliche Bereitschaft, uns noch zu bewirten. Die Küche hat es tatsächlich geschafft, uns noch gutes Essen zuzubereiten, die frisch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet waren. Das war eine Geste, die weit über das Übliche hinausgeht und von einer tiefen Gastfreundschaft zeugt. Auch der Service war den gesamten Abend über außergewöhnlich. Man spürte die Leidenschaft und Herzlichkeit des gesamten Personals. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an willkommen und wohlgefühlt.
