Breathtaking views from their porch nestled in the rooftop of the Alps. Had indoor seating options as well if the weather wasn't to your liking (although you lose a bit of the marvel of you stay inside). We got lucky with perfect weather although on top of a mountain it can turn at a moments notice. Seems like the perfect spot for a beer or small meal. Prices on the menu appeared very reasonable considering the location although it wasn't a very extensive menu. Group tables seem to allow you to meet other travelers from all over. The restaurant was too busy so we didn't stay to eat...we just enjoyed taking in some sun and marveling at the Alps. Pretty easy to get to via a cable car. The car only run every 20 min so we tried to time our visit accordingly. Hadn't planned on hiking so didn't have the right shoes for the snow. Cable car ticket is really expensive for the summer. If you get the Innsbruck City Pass, it makes it worthwhile financially. Looks like a wonderful hike to the top of the mountain, however not for the faint of heart or out of shape. Accent and decent appears really steep. Saw one brave soul biking.

Very busy restaurant, so I was surprised we even got a table in the first place. Been in Austria for 2 days, so I decided to try some Wiener schnitzel. I got the chicken version, with the fries. Rest of my family got pork with parsley potatoes. It was okay. Fries were great, crispy but too many of those small pieces that are all crunch no potato. The chicken was good, but the breading was horrible. The rest of my family had crispy breading intact with the meat. Mine however was wet, and was literally a separate piece from the chicken. The berry sauce was good Service was a little slow, but it was busy so made sense. Some waiters/waitresses even took orders from people over those who have been probably waiting for much longer. Just really hope this can be improved for future customers. But, you really can’t beat the view. Seeing the snowy mountains through the window behind us, you really can’t beat it. The restaurant itself was loud and busy though (which again, understandable). Overall, it wasn’t great or bad. Just happy we had food in our tummies.

Normally when I review mountain restaurants I am very biased from hiking exhaustion. Not this time! There is something very weirdly satisfying about receiving a plate of eggs, meat and veggies in a mountain restaurant. My Gröstl was seasoned mildly but not blandly, and it had a good proportion of ingredients. It was served in a weird way, but it wasn’t hard to consume (not /r/wewantplates material). The rest of my group was also satisfied with their meals. There is good variety to choose from, and seasonal dishes (like my friend’s deer goulash). Next time, I hope to stop by after hiking up the mountain. Remember to enjoy the spectacular views after your meal, and maybe consider making your way up to the top for an even more breathtaking experience.

It's not physically possible to give this place less than 1 star even though it definitely deserves it. We waited until a table became available then had to fend off other patrons jumping in front of us. Organising seating is something the staff don't get involved with. Then we were left at our table with the plates and left overs from the previous customers. I spoke with waiters to let them know we were ready to order hoping that this would be the time our table would be cleared and our meal begin. One waiter started taking our order then told us he'd have to cash up another table as they were threatening to leave. He did not return to us but manged to take orders from 3 other tables after cashing up the table and then a second. We had to leave after waiting 45 mins of being deliberately ignored. In total we waited 1hr and in that time we witnessed other complaints and other customers leaving. Generally this place is in urgent need of...
