Berggasthof Staudachstubn — Restaurant in Kirchberg in Tirol

We first met Sandra and Markus in 2020 when we called in for lunch - which was amazing. The common theme through the reviews is how friendly the hosts are and how good the food is, not to mention the perfect location, next to the main piste back to the FLECKALM gondola.

Having returned in 2021, 2022 and 2023 we were lucky enough to stay at one of the apartments on site. As expected this didn’t disappoint, it slept four adults plus dog very comfortably with a bedroom to spare. The massive bonus was it meant we only had to walk across a small track for our meals. Again Sandra and Markus made us feel exceptionally welcome and part of the family.

Could not recommend highly enough! What a gorgeous family, running an exemplary business!

We travelled as a family of 16 and rented out the three apartments of the chalet. We started planning this trip in 2019, but could not make it happen until 2022, when the travel bans etc. finally lifted for good.

Throughout this time Sandra was very proactive with keeping our reservation up to date and answered all our questions with patience and grace.

Once arrived, we felt in the best hands, the chalet was super cozy, the food was great, warm rolls for breakfast delivered to ur door every morning - everyone had a much better time than expected. And after 3 years of waiting, expectations were high, let me tell you :)

We were here several times in the last few years and were very positively impressed each time. The Berggasthof is fabulous for lunch, for a sundowner at the end of your last ride down the Fleck ski slope, or for a lovely dinner.

The food is down-to-earth, good quality regional food, with several dishes at a quality beyond the ordinary. We enjoyed the knuckle of lamb, the Kaiserschmarren (roasted thick pancake) with roasted plums and the kids had a feast on good quality Schnitzel (which they do from pork, chicken, or veal).

The selection of Austrian wines, beers, schnapps and all kinds of non-alcoholic drinks should meet everybody’s needs.

Most importantly, of course, the service here has always been super-friendly, as you would expect in a family-led Berggasthof.

Highly recommended for lunch, afternoon drinks, or dinner!

Wir waren in den letzten Jahren mehrmals hier und waren jedes Mal sehr positiv beeindruckt. Der Berggasthof eignet sich hervorragend zum Mittagessen, für einen Sundowner zum Abschluss der letzten Abfahrt auf der Fleck-Skipiste oder für ein schönes Abendessen.

Das Essen ist bodenständig, regionale Küche in guter Qualität, mit mehreren Gerichten in außergewöhnlicher Qualität. Wir genossen die Lammhaxe, den Kaiserschmarren mit gerösteten Zwetschgen und die Kinder schmausten sich an hochwertigen Schnitzel (die sie hier vom Schwein, Huhn oder Kalb machen).

Die Auswahl an österreichischen Weinen, Bieren, Schnäpsen und alkoholfreien Getränken aller Art sollte jedem Geschmack gerecht werden.

Am wichtigsten ist natürlich, dass der Service hier immer superfreundlich war, wie man es von einem familiengeführten Berggasthof erwartet.
