La Bottega — Restaurant in Klagenfurt

I had been recommended this restaurant for its takeaway pizza, so decided to eat in. The food in its entirety was delicious, nothing to fault there!

Unfortunately, the service was severely lacking and a huge disappointment. We were left waiting to order for 20 minutes, without drinks or anything. During the course of our visit, no servers asked if we wanted more drinks, nobody asked if the food was okay (until removing the plates) and when food was delivered it was done so very abruptly with no communication from the waitress - It all felt quite lazy and careless.

Overall, food was very good and the atmosphere was charming. There was one young blonde waitress who seemed to be doing a lot of the work, she is a credit to the venue and was the most attentive of all staff. Otherwise, service...

I realy like good pizza and a good service. My pros and cons: Cons: pizza had too much cheese and bad quality of cheese, ham also bad quality and like it was just throwned on the pizza got served by 4 waiters (1 cleaned the table, 1 took the order, 1 brought the drinks, 1 brought a meal), in this kind of restaurants i prefer to be served by 1 waiter. price is also a little bit to high, and its not the same as on the internet (margarita 6,5€---7,0€) no extras (ketchup, mayo... only theirs extras that i didnt like) Pros: nice waiters/es, normal dressed and working with smile good tables, cutlery and glasses nice cleaned (+ also they brought a knife for pizza) I rateded 2* because i realy enjoy a good pizza and this wasnt one of it. Pizza was 2/5 at best, dough was below mediocre quality, all the ingredients were pretty much the cheapest that money can get. I'm fairly sure the profiteroles dessert is bought from Hofer/Lidl, the lowest quality possible. 3 pieces of profiteroles for 5,40 EUR while a whole box of 10 of them is like 2 EUR in the mentioned stores. Was not expecting a store bought product considering the price mark. Honestly do not understand how the restaurant gets these high ratings. Buy a frozen 1 EUR pizza or just eat stale bread, you will be better off than this and your wallet will...
