We stayed for 2 nights in October and took the half board option which included dinner and breakfast. If driving in it can be a little difficult to find. It is on the top of the hill directly behind the Kreuzbergl church, the big yellow church with double onion domed steeples. It is a little road wide enough for 1 car, straight up the hill. You will need a car to get into town as the is no public transportation from the hotel. This is not a B&B, it is a restaurant with a few rooms upstairs. As far as the half board option, it is the way to go because the restaurant is excellent. (See our review on the restaurant's page.) To check in you go into the restaurant. Leave your stuff in the car as you will be able to pull around to the back door to bring your stuff in but you will park in front. The wait staff was very friendly and helped us check in. Keep in mind that you will have to bring your luggage up a flight of stairs. The place was spotlessly clean and for Europe the room was of good size and the shower had good water pressure. There was no hair dryer in the room but they did give us one when we asked. Our room was in the front and had a beautiful view of the city and surrounding mountains. The breakfast was the standard meat, cheese, bread, and cereal. Enough to get your day started. Tea drinkers be warned, if you ask for tea they will give you herbal tea. You may want to pick up some breakfast tea bags at the local supermarket. That was the positives, here are the negatives. The bed felt like a large slab of concrete covered with a irritating terry cloth like sheet. My wife tried sleeping on the couch but it wasn't long enough so we took the extra blankets and comforters and slept on top of them to try to pad the bed a little. The towels were made from sand paper. We don't normally concern ourselves with the décor of hotel rooms as it is just a place to sleep and as long as it is clean and comfortable we don't care. That being said, there was a large leather couch in the room that looked like it belonged in a 1970's office waiting room and the whole room needed a make over. This could be a 5 star accommodation if they just updated the bed and the décor because they have the views, the excellent restaurant, the customer service, and the large room. Hopefully the owners will take note of the reviews and make changes because We would love to stay here again but as it is currently we could...
