BAD STICH Seerestaurant — Restaurant in Krumpendorf am Wörthersee

I was there in April 2019 during the sudden warm weather of Austria when it turned almost 24 degrees for a day or two. We chanced upon this restaurant and were amazed at the food and style .it was delicious and served well. It took a slight wait but it was expected due to outburst of guests and numbers. Was expensive but worth every euro... I was finger licking my food . Do try the grilled forelle fish with baked full potatoes and icecream as dessert..it was served in style. We had villacher beer to push down the food with a lovely view of the sea. The pretty lady owner came around to check if all was good...she did her charms along with the food ...we were back the next day. We had Salmond fish with spinach. I would reccomend this restaurant greatly for all food lovers and guests .. it is slightly expensive but leaves a good taste ...memories and nice shots in...

Che vi abbiamo fatto? Il posto è gradevole con la terrazza curata in riva al lago...purtroppo tutto si ferma lì. Afosa serata di luglio, alle 21.00 entriamo in 4 con i bambini molto affamati. I tavoli all'esterno sono tutti occupati, mentre quelli sotto la veranda sono liberi, ma fa veramente caldo. A quel punto chiediamo al cameriere se può darci un'indicazione sui tempi di attesa, prima in italiano e poi in inglese: risposta vaga e seccata. Proviamo con la collega: idem. Vabbè, che facciamo? Nel frattempo si libera un tavolo da 4, ci avviciniamo, aspettiamo in piedi il cameriere per fargli notare che ci stiamo sedendo. Niente, invisibili. Ci sediamo e accumuliamo i bicchieri sul tavolo in un angolo per farcelo liberare. Niente, invisibili. Altri clienti occupano altri tavoli. Visibilissimi e serviti. Ci alziamo? I bambini hanno fame, restiamo, chiamo il cameriere che ci passa accanto e non ci può più "elegantemente" evitare. A questo punto comincia a farci incacchiare ed è palese la sua decisione di evitarci. Ci abbozza un "dimenticando" con mezzo sorriso (allora capisci l'italiano) e un "oh Yes, english" (???). Ok, i bambini hanno fame, teniamo duro, adesso hanno liberato il tavolo abbiamo il menù. "Bambini scegliamo veloci così nel frattempo andate in riva al lago a giocare e a distrarvi"...aspettiamo...aspettiamo...aspettiamo..ah ok, adesso passa la collega giovane...sembra più sveglia... aspettiamo, aspettiamo, aspettiamo, no, no i nostri vicini di tavolo non aspettano: ordinano, bevono, ridono, scherzano...il clima è buono... Che facciamo? Alla fine decidono i bambini: "andiamo, qui sono antipatici". Ce ne andiamo. Sbatto i menù sul bancone del bar...invisibile. Erano le 21,35. Ora per capire: non ci sapete fare? Va bene, forse ci aspettavamo troppo, tipo cenare. Abbiamo sbagliato qualcosa ? Fatecelo sapere. Non parliamo tedesco? Va bene (magari mettete un cartello all'ingresso per poterci regolare la prossima volta) Ma boia mondo, la base del tuo lavoro è farci consumare. Almeno fammi sedere, mi porti da bere, aspetto, bevo, aspetto, ordino ancora, bevo ancora e alla fine pago di più. Pessimi P.s. i bambini sono salvi. Abbiamo trovato un buon posto a Portscach al s'Wirtshaus. Nello stesso tempo abbiamo mangiato (discretamente), bevuto e ricevuto una quantità notevole di sorrisi accoglienti. A short detour from the highway, but really worth it. We stopped for a guick lunch and we were not disappointed. Great location, amazing view and tasty food. The staff is friendly and attentive, food was served very fast, it was very good. When ordering dessert we were informed that the wait will be longer, so we were offered alternatives. I have really enjoyed it there. Dog friendly. Our furry friend was offered water. But dogs aren’t allowed...
