Read moreWe had the warmest and most enthusiastic welcome from lovely Andreas and were given a delightful elderflower and sparkling wine drink which was very nice indeed after a long journey. Andreas offered us a choice of rooms which was thoughtful and much appreciated. We opted for one with a balcony and lovely view of the pretty church and village. We had half board and the dinners were huge! The only drawback was that there wasn't officially a choice but when we asked for a nice salad one night they were only too happy to oblige and they checked each night if we liked the daily selection before serving us. Breakfast is very good too with a wonderfully friendly lady looking after us. Lots of choice and fresh eggs cooked to order. The dining room is breathtakingly beautiful and you can eat outside if you prefer. We couldn't tear ourselves away from the beautiful dining room and were able to have a drink with some very friendly folk from Australia in a lovely little snug area. The only reason for not giving the property an excellent is the noise which is really little to do with the owners. They do have a beer garden which can be quite noisy and they do allow dogs which meant there was occasional barking, sometimes quite late at night, but the main noise came from a surprisingly busy road with regular buses, lorries, tractors and particularly noisy motorbikes & scooters up to 1 am. Then the church bell crashes into life at 6 am, so light sleepers beware! Other than this we would highly recommend this lovely property which is run by a delightfully friendly family, serves great food and is very handy for the Patscherkofel...
