Winery and tavern Repolusk — Restaurant in Leutschach an der Weinstraße

Were a large group of almost 24 people and had a room to the left of the bar. The view was incredible. The white wine range is excellent, from Pinot Blanc to Pinot Gris to Traminer. The red wine is also fantastic. The Jause (snack) was extravagant and excellent. Starting with the bread, which came in 2 different varieties, one with seeds and one without. The mixed plate with spreads, ham, bacon, cheese, egg, was excellent. The portions of the spreads fit exactly on the plate. The salami, loin bacon platter with parmesan and jam was very well rounded. The extra spread plate with Liptauer, Kernölaufstrich and beetroot was just right. The plates are glued with Verhackerts on the underside to prevent them from slipping. An insider tip for everyone if the spread runs out. The cheese platter is stocked with 9 different varieties, simply fantastic, especially the sheep's cheese and maybe goat's cheese. By far the best tasting was the sour meat, which couldn't have been more rounded (sour, salty, peppery and top meat quality). The meat is cut appropriately, not too thick, not too thin, perfect. The two salads (beetle bean salad and mixed salad with meat) were also matching. We tried all the desserts - it was very quiet on the tables, everyone was enjoying themselves. The whole dish was excellent. Service always friendly...

Ich habe selten unfreundlicheres Personal gesehen! Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Platz, grüßten freundlich die vorbei gehende Kellnerin, was sie ignorierte, grüßten beim nächsten Mal lauter und unübersehbar, doch sie schaute absichtlich weg und ignorierte uns erneut. Danke, das war's dann - dieser Buschenschank sieht uns nie wieder! Offensichtlich geht es manchen Buschenschänken zu gut und sie haben es nicht mehr notwendig, freundlich und hilfsbereit zu sein.

Zum Glück gibt es noch genügend anderes Auswahl in dieser Gegend...

Nachtrag zum Kommentar des Inhabers "Täglich bis zu 18 Stunden durcharbeiten": Die Öffnungszeiten sind von 12-20 Uhr. Laut meiner bescheidenen Mathematikkenntnisse ergibt das 8 Stunden (also ohne "1" davor). Selbst wenn man 3 Stunden Vor- und 3 Stunden Nachbereitungszeit veranschlagt (was für eine Kellnerin ohnehin schon recht viel wäre), komme ich damit nur auf 14 Stunden. Es mag sein, dass einzelne Personen im Ausnahmefall 18 Stunden arbeiten müssen, aber dass das für eine "gewöhnliche" Kellnerin gilt und noch dazu regelmäßig, kaufe ich Ihnen ganz...

Had a wonderful evening at Repolusk. Tried 3 different wines and the plum and quince brandy which was homemade. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed trying the different meats and cheeses. A thunderstorm meant we had to extend our evening and try the puddings too - I’m glad we did they were also amazing....
