Winery Tschermonegg — Restaurant in Leutschach an der Weinstraße

We had lunch there in May with friends and asked if they had any rooms available for next year as my husband and I have stayed there before. We were told to wait for assistance which took a while. Finally the owner came to see us but didn’t even greet us properly. We explained that we were interested to stay and he vaguely told us that he didn’t take bookings so long in advance. We then asked if he can just look if there is anything available, whereupon he answered they don’t take groups. He then made it very clear that he just isn’t interested in our business. He was very unfriendly and very unprofessional. He clearly lacked in customer service. He finally showed us around but we could see we really irritated him and he just wanted to get rid of us. ||We love Styria and travel there every year and the people in general are fantastic hosts but this really upset us and we don’t recommend enquiring about lodging. This winery was recommended to me and I was never in doubt I am at the best place in this region. I spent 5 beautiful nights here with my family. They also have a perfectly english speaking service here, which is actually pretty rare in Südsteiermark. Owners were very pleasant and helpful all the time. I must mention fabulous Buschenschank here and big pool. Winery is high, so surroundings are beautiful here. And the wines? Yes, wines are special.
