Gasthaus Häuserer — Restaurant in Mitterkirchen im Machland

Greeting from Singapore. I’m super thankful for the kindness and help rendered by the restaurant owners when my son and I were lost in our bike trip on a freezing cold and rainy day. I bumped into the son on the road asking for direction, and possibility a car to bring both of us with the bikes to our hotel. He kindly directed us to his restaurant, his father offered to drive us when he couldn’t get us any vehicles to transport us. Both rejected our token of gratitude. We are grateful and felt sorry for dirtying his father’s car. Very kind soul, I’m sure they serve good food and take good care of their guests....

We stayed here on our hike of the Danube path and were very pleased with these simple accommodations located directly on the path. Large corner room with lots of space to spread out, very clean; wood paneled ceiling; comfortable bed and practical bathroom. Cordial and helpful owners. Great value at 51€ for two including a decent breakfast.||||One warning do not eat here. One of the worst meals we've had in Austria and we have traveled there...

Sehr geräumiges Gasthaus sehr übersichtliche Portionen extras nicht incl. Salat, ist 1Blatt etwas Möhren gerieben (weniger geht nicht) und abgesoffene Kartoffeln als Salat ( es können mit Sicherheit nicht von vor Gästen sein, weniger geht auch nicht)für 3,50 € nicht Schilling Gulasch gut maximal vier(4) würfelchen Fleisch 2 mal 1/4 einer Kartoffel für 7,50€ ist keine wie dachte 1/2 Portion bei Nachfrage dann wären es nur 2 Würfel Respekt da wird mir klar warum...
