Autogrill Feistritz — Restaurant in Paternion

From the outside you could think it is just another stop-for-coffe-and-toilet place and you would be wrong. When you step inside you are in for a surprise. Place is very well decorated and can offer much more than a regular toilet+coffe option. Food offerings are rich. Drinks also. There are even some cocktails. Furthermore, you can find souvenir shop and a regular shop for water, sweets, cigarettes etc. Inside and outside areas, kids playground, smoking areas... All in one place. People working there seem to be friendly, smiling all the time. Toilet is paid 0,5 EUR but you get a coupon to redeem...

I paid for take away snacks and than remembered about the two toilet tickets (1€ total) that I got, but the lady told ‘to late’… so I decided to buy one cold coffee that was next to the cash, in a promotion price 1€ each, to use my toilet tickets, in the end I got two coffee… When I was in the car I checked the coffee and BOTH WERE SIX DAYS EXPIRED!

Expensive restaurant, better stop at McDonald's. Spaghetti bolognese was overcooked and too salty, schitzel was more or less ok, but side dish is terrible (overcooked vegetables). If you are traveling from Italy better find another place to have lunch. View is nice and there is a small playground accessible from restaurant where you child can spend some time and relax...
