An absolutely must-try dining experience while you're in Zillertal. Their signature schnitzel is both visually appealing and delicious. We almost went for the XXL schnitzel, but looking back I think we made a smart decision by staying with their regular sized one. By the way, there's nothing regular about the portion, very generous sized savory slice of meat falling of from the plate on both ends. We had to plan a several hours hiking trip just to get rid of the extra calories accumulated at the restaurant. Just when we thought we had it all, came the dessert: TopfenStrudel..Not just any kind of strudel..and I leave it to that. Take a look at the picture and decide for yourself whether you're up for the challenge.
The place has its own vibe in a very warm, unique and austrian welcoming way. Be it a Saturday evening soccer game or a local event, even local music, there's no 2 times with same experience.
A big plus for us was the very pet-friendly environment where our four-legged family member could join us and got treated with attention as well. (mostly lying under the table hoping for a piece of meat falling off from it)
All the above was topped off by the very friendly welcoming and dining experience by the restaurant staff. Thank you Csanád, Edina, Alaadin and the team. We'll be surely...
Read moreWe had lunch at this place. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the local language and, when I asked to speak in English, I noticed a rather peculiar reaction: the staff quickly disappeared, leaving only one person to let us choose a table and seat us. We then ordered our two dishes, with a small misunderstanding about the potatoes. To be clear, we were treated very kindly throughout the meal, and I have no complaints about that—only that the start felt a bit unusual. I ordered a dish with a mix of meat, fries, vegetables, and other items. In Italy, you don’t usually find this type of dish, and I really enjoyed sampling a bit of everything here and there. The portion was very generous, and the price was excellent. If I were passing through again, I would gladly return.
I thank you for your kind reply, even though my point was not fully understood. Let me be clearer. I initially had a not very positive impression, as we were foreign customers, but this feeling later disappeared. I could suggest a...
Read moreWe sat outside in a tent. At first, it was a bit cold, but after I asked, a patio heater was placed closer to us, and then it became wonderfully warm and cozy. The schnitzel with cheese and fries was absolutely delicious. A generous portion of schnitzel, lots of cheese, and every single fry was perfectly crispy. Just great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to take a napkin as a little souvenir, but before I realized, it had already been cleared away with the dishes. When I asked if I could get another napkin, the waiter asked if it was for a souvenir. Then he kindly gave me not only two napkins, but also a postcard with a photo of the restaurant and a smaller card with the...
