Listen up Folks! We have been coming here to dine for years! A wonderful location with very friendly & attentive staff - and the menu is excellent! (All seasonal & local produce!) We are lucky enough to have been the first guests this year for the very traditional Tirolean "Törggelen" (autumn evening feast). Ideal for the whole family or a group of friends, this is an evening of fine dining in the mountains around Innsbruck. Törggelen starts with a pumpkin soup and then moves onto a main course of roast Pork with all the trimmings or Tirol dumplings....followed by a sweet dessert and roasted chestnuts!! The staff was very kind. They spoke English fluently. Also, they have the menu in English.

The ambience is nice and cosy. The furnishing is a bit dated however.

The prices were normal and the food was good.

We tried the Tyrolean dumplings. Three different flavours come in one portion. Bacon, cheese and spinach. But you do only get the dumplings, no sauce or anything. So, they are a bit dry on their own. But still quite good. We also had the pork medallions in mushroom sauce with butter spaetzli and mixed salad, and this dish was really good.

My family invited me to Saturday lunch to this wonderful, authentic, Austrian restaurant, which is also a hotel. I ordered roast pork and my daughter ordered pork medallions in a delicious mushroom sauce. My two,|generous slices of pork were wonderfully tender. My grandchildren ate |schnitzel, which was also excellent. The setting is rural and beautiful and in the distance one hears the sound of cow bells. Amazing that this is only a few minutes out of Innsbruck. I most wholeheartedly recommend |Canisiusbrunnl and hope to...
