Huggenberg Restaurant / Accommodation — Restaurant in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer

We came 5 min after they had closed down the kitchen and the very friendly hostess welcomed us and offered us s select part of the menu that was still very delicious. The surroundings are very beautiful while also very fun for the family as they have goats, donkeys, rabbits and other little barnyard animals for petting. They even have two great owls in a large cage outside.

What a wonderful place. A must visit if you are in the area. Reachable by car if you are short on time and/or unable to walk up to this restaurant. Just great. The staff here are so lovely. The road to the restaurant is also fantastic, a winding road with sharp turns leading to the top where the restaurant is located. There's also a room for kids to play (a bit hidden, but it's definitely there—ask for it if you can't find it). If we're in the neighborhood again, we would...
