Restaurant Himmeleck — Restaurant in Sankt Anton am Arlberg

This place is awesome for the location and the bar is good. Food is crap (overpriced cheap sandwiches).

What prompted me to leave a review though was the horrible service I received. To be fair I arrived just before closing and I know what it's like after a hectic day, but the woman sighed at me when I spoke English, refused to answer my simple question if there were any hot drinks (like the gluhewine she gave me, which was exactly what I was after, I just didn't know what it was called).

She also made me wait while she had a shot on the house with two friends.

Now, I work in a similar field and cut her some slack as I know how annoying it can be, but if I had staff member like that she wouldn't work for me any longer. Also, I know this is not an English speaking country, but if that is a problem for you maybe don't work in a major tourist destination.

I'm sure this was a one tim thing, but based on my personal experience I can't give a higher...

We left place 15 minutes before they closed the outdoor terrace (15:45), but when we got to the ski stands we found that the staff had taken all the skis (there were still a lot) and thrown them in piles on top of each other in the snow in order to move the ski stands (with obviously very little regard for whether the skis would be damaged in any way). At least wait until after the terrace closes, to allow people time to leave and get their skis.

Besides this, the place is very commercial with self service stands. The food is very boring and characterized by the restaurant’s apparent primary goal of feeding as many people as possible - as fast as possible. Wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you have absolutely no...

It was a pleasant surprise to see this completely renovated restaurant inside. It consists of bar, self service restaurant and restaurant. There's even space reserved for ski school groups having lunch in the basement. The restaurant is close to Nassereinbahn and Gampen top stations.
