What happened to me there is still haunting me. It was August 2022 and I was ordering politely in English to some guy Sep, around 65 years old. At the end he is asking me in German the amount. As I don't know any word in German language, I asked him politely at least 3 times to tell me in English and he still insisted in German to amuse some German speaking customers. As I was prepared to pay cash, I hand it him a 100 euros bill and he replied to me with the 1850's southern USA accent "nice boy"...so I'm a slave for mr Sep. I confronted him asking to apologize and he didn't wanted, as of course he still regrets his hero lost the war 80 years ago and he is serving "inferior" people like me, east European. Initially I contacted his office wanted to fill an official complain, but I let it how it was. I'm wondering if this man...

There was no need for taking away our empty plates and mugs so rudely fast in so many efforts, it was not busy. Cleaning the table when we had left would have been preferred. I would go back for the views but would take a thermos flask instead. Be warned...
Read moreI was there in late November of 2013. Found a lot of deep snow and poorly maintained ski slopes. Weather on side, skiing was only average considering other choices in Austria and Switzerland. New Café on 3440m looked nice but it was covered with clouds. You may be short of breath there because of the high altitude. Strategy at lunch is to either eat early or late. There is very limited space in the either of restaurants in the Pitztal ski area. Food is expensive in both restaurants. Renting skis, boots and poles will cost you...
