Sonnenplateau Mooseralm — Restaurant in Sankt Veit in Defereggen

This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. It's understandable that with one restaurant in the area, it may happen that we have to wait for a table for a while. But I would expect them to be prepared for these people - two slow and unfriendly waiters aren't enough. I felt unwelcome. Finally, after 30 minutes, we managed to squeeze in with some strangers. But the waiting didn't end, I had to get up and go ask one of the waiters to come to us because of a big sign inside saying ordering possible only from tables.... - I did it as politely as I could, but the response of "I am busy I am coming when I can" shook me. We ordered in german, so there was no place for mixups because one of us can speak pretty well. We ordered juice that never arrived, one broth with celestine noodles, two sweet dumplings with vanilla sauce, and a bratwurst. I additionally asked about poppy seeds and wanted one of the meals without it. The waitress understood and even repeated my order to check it. After some time, two cokes arrived that we didn't order (?! No one cared, but few people from other table told us that's theirs, so we gave it to them - where is my Trinkgeld?) after that two dumplings, both with poppy seeds, one of them cold, not good for something that expensive.The Bratwurst we ordered somehow turned into currywurst covered in souce similar to ketchup with curry, again no one cared... The soup I ordered arrived last and also too cold, shouldn't soup come first? What if I had a second course, but they wouldn't even notice that anyway :). Then we wanted to pay when the waitress showed up, but again, a problem, because she came with my soup and told us that my soup isn't finished, so no paying. So in conclusion, We spend there time we could have skied, I was extremely annoyed (sauer :), as the waitress called us and she even bad-mouthed us in front of some strangers in german, but unfortunately one of us understood that...:) and I hope that this was the last time something like...

Been here this winter, had a bad experience and wasn’t afraid to complain about it - just wanna hop back on here and mention that the owner / person managing the answers to these reviews has a complex and a very obvious problem with teenagers/students. Considering the ignorant answers to the reviews, his behaviour while talking to underage and young people being BEYOND disrespectful and arrogant, i believe he should find a new job, since he hates COMMUNICATING with HIS customers so much (or atleast don’t serve them dude) xoxo

However i do not want to bring shade on the whole staff. All the other ladies serving us were super sweet and did their best in the exhausting afternoon rush. Just this man and his arrogance, ignorance and rudeness. I will be expecting another sarcastic reply, since you do not take these reviews seriously anyway. ❤️ Do better, so customers not only enjoy the food, but the whole experience. The wait is harsh but manageable, the view is great, but I've never seen such horrible customer service. Getting four dishes out of four wrong, often bringing a completely different dish. Incredibly disrespectfully using bad language about customers in german, thinking we wouldn't understand. And at the end bad-mouthing us straight to our face for expecting a respectful or even an acceptable service just doesn't seem right to me. All in all I would definitely recommend completely avoiding this „establishment“ and choosing any other...
