Rochus Restaurant Pizzeria — Restaurant in Sautens

The medal for the most inhospitable restaurant in Austria is well deserved. We called to make a reservation yesterday for 20.30. They rang us back to confirm and to say the kitchen would close at 21.30. We arrived after at 45 minute walk a little early only to find the doors locked. There was 1 person in the dining room staff could clearly see us but ignored us. We called and spoke to someone she said they were closed and gave no explanation or apology when confirming her knowledge of our reservation. We could only assume they had no business and decided to close early. Fortunately the only other restaurant in Sautens that was open was lovely, was full (which says a lot!), the food was great and the service delightful-the kind of service ones gets everywhere here except at the Rochusstuberl. Would strongly advise giving this place a wide berth. The one star we awarded for the food is based on the fact that they had just one customer whilst the only other place was full, and the star for ambience was based on what we could see, which was an overly bright empty...

Wow! What an extraordinary dining experience! From the exceptional service to the mouthwatering local dishes, our visit to this restaurant was truly unforgettable. Our family savored every bite of the spicy burger, Wiener Schnitzel, Wiener Schnitzel salad, and chicken nuggets – all of which earned a perfect 10/10 rating from us. The dishes were served promptly, allowing us to indulge without any wait. The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke fluent English, providing detailed explanations and offering fantastic recommendations. Without a doubt, this restaurant was the highlight of our 4-day trip to Austria. We can't recommend it...

I have not had such delicious food in a restaurant EVER! I strongly recommend it to anyone who’s nearby! The service is top notch and they really care about what their customers want! If it was possible, I'd give 10 stars. I will definitely come back more often! Even got a glass of pear wine on...
