Fischrestaurant Schloßteichstüberl — Restaurant in Stainach-Pürgg

I wanted to try some fish food restaurant in the nearby area and this place looked interesting. It is accessible by car, even though parking is somewhat tight. Whole area around restaurant looks nice and cozy, you can see a bit of village atmosphere. You enter restaurant through narrow entrance and have to wait for waiter to come. Of course other guests pass by and you have to hug the table in order to not to bump into other person. I was waiting for waiter for at least 7-10mins and then finally got the table inside. There is no air conditioning and air inside is a bit stale. Menu is only in German, but Gtranslate will help. Prices are okay, cards are accepted. Food was nice, fish fresh, but potatoes were already cold :/ Overall okay place in case you would like to take a break from meat and eat fish. Definitely not a fancy place or one of the best experiences I had...

Ok, This is a difficult one for me. I love trout and I was disappointed by the Forelle nach Art des Küchenchef. The portion was OK, the price was adequate to the quality, potatoes, fish some almond butter. The carp from my wife was the same, adequate to a relatively low price, fried too long and rather dry. As a starter we had calamary rings, which did not meet our taste, reasonable portion, rather thick doug. The setting below the Castle, the furniture, ambience is 5 star. Service is good, efficient and definitely friendly enough. It was the first time I went to Google maps rated restaurant with more than, 4,5 rating and I was disappointed, so possibly I may be too demanding, but with 3 meals, not liking one of them I can.t give more...

The food was ok, the potatoes were cold but that is not the problem.

They took 20 minutes to take my order and another 30 to serve the food, and on top of that the owner she was really rude and unprofessional, she asked if im paying with a cash or card, i requested to pay with a visa since im a tourist, she told me to either pay with debit card or cash when i told her I only have visa or AMEX then she said ok you can pay with visa with a face expression that shes doesnt like whats going on, I paid my bill I left no tip, and she was hell mad and told me tips is not included with the bill. I don’t know should I tip for being slow to serve your customers or for the attitude?
