Usual German three-star hotel, however with large, clean and recently renovated rooms, as always, there is no bidet in the bathroom. There is a lift and reserved motorbike parking under a gazebo. Very friendly staff, but you have to speak a little German, their English is very basic.|Negative points: On the reservation it says check-in after 4pm, we arrived at 4:20pm and the hotel was closed. The girl in the restaurant said that the lady had left and would be right back. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked the same girl to call, finally she checked in herself and we could go to our room, reminding her that we were on half board. At dinner, it was still the same girl who served us and gave us the à la carte menu, we didn't bother too much. The next day, when I went to pay the bill, I was told that I had cancelled the half-board because I had dined à la carte. Remaining calm, I explained what was happened and the lady, very kindly, redid the bill, with a storno of 30 euro.|The point is: I speak enough German and I got away with it, an Italian who doesn't speak it would have been in serious trouble.|However, apart from this mishap, the stay was good with excellent quality of sleep, we ate well in the restaurant and the price/quality ratio is balanced, if I were to return to those parts I...

Read moreHaving just come home following our third visit to the PostHotel, Strengen, we cannot recommend it enough. Edi and his team do a wonderful job to make you feel welcome in this traditional and friendly village. Strengen is a stunning place to visit and with the town of St Anton am Arlberg, hikes and cycle tracks nearby, as well as the many ski runs, it is a fantastic base for exploring the region. It has excellent transport links to St Anton, Landeck, Innsbruck and Salzburg but maintains the quiet alpine-village feel. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant is plentiful and delicious. Can't wait to return...
