Husb and i love Japanese sushi and this restaurant offered a highly interesting concept of Japanese sushi using locally caught fresh water fish in a rustic and quaint austrian inn. Sashimi is fresh and there is no odour or weird taste. Food was served quickly and overall service was great. Only thing was we made a reservation for 3 but our friend had to give it a miss and the matronly looking staff said bluntly that we should have called in advance to inform change of number of guests in future. It is ok to explain but maybe it was her tone. Impressed with the food otherwise.

What a phenomenal experience. We opted for the tasting menu and were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious with the chef's choice sushi taking the cake. The juxtaposition of texture and flavour really made the meal a delight. The idea of applying Japanese techniques to local fish and produce is genius and it really works. The service was amazing, extremely friendly, yet professional and intrusive. A beautiful atmosphere too. Overall an incredible experience we will return for again and again.

Meal was quite good love the concept of using local seafood. Only major drawback was „ponzu“ is a sauce and „yuzu“ is a type of citrus not a lemon. Neither ponzu nor yuzu appeared either time we ordered the nigiri salmon with ponzu and yuzu. Aside from that the rest of the meal was Fantastic. Strangely the dessert card was traditional Austrian food not in the theme of the rest of the meal. Even just a scoop of black sesame Eis would be ample addition. Service was great though. And I would return.

The idea with local sushi is really cool! Finally something outstanding among all those average Austrian place around... But the atmosphere and interior is still quite oldschool. The website suggested it will be more of a modern, laid back experience. Instead, we were welcomed by a strict and a bit grumpy Austrian lady who seemed to be the boss of the hotel's restaurant.

The food was very good, just got a bit disappointed about the ceviche - with very little lemon juice and 3 leaves of cilantro for a quite high price. Also, be prepared to spend around 35-40€ pp to get satisfied with the...
