Tiefenbach Gletscher Restaurant — Restaurant in Sölden

All the bigger restaurants on the slopes at Solden seem to have the same basic fare: currywurst, schnitzels etc. They all execute this list well, the queues were non-existent when we were visiting and the locations are ofcourse superb! This particular spot is the main restaurant at the glacier skiing-area, and has a ski-rental shop in addition to the restaurant and bar. The portions will be enough for almost everyone, and a cold beer always feels brilliant after a few hours...

The atmosphere and disinterest from the staff truly makes this restaurant excel in deception. Serving spaghetti by literally handpicking the pasta and heating it in an oven, combined with an overly lack of joy and hospitality makes you feel miserable. Luckily there is a slope nearby to shake off all this negativity...

Very poor cup of coffee. The mugs are tiny. They charge the same mouantin price as anywhere else. The place next door is a large waiting time so would recommend going into the restaurant as they don't offer lattee's. Alternatively, ski down to the Solomon restaurant for the best...
