Der Kreuzwirt in Thal — Restaurant in Thal

I really thought, I've found a nice restaurant after a long time to take my parents to, but sadly I won't now. The food and the ambience was really nice. What shocked us at the end was, the extra charge of ketchup and prieselbeeren (a spoonful of cranberry jam that comes along with schnitzel) and moreover an extra charge of cutlery and that too for a 2 year old who didn't even use his own cutlery. I understand the steep prices these days as its become a general trend, but charging 12 euros extra just for cutlery and a spoonful of prieselbeeren and ketchup is simply unjustified...

We ate there last weekend. We love the location on the countryside and the food and wine was delicious. One of my favourite restaurants in or close to Graz. Dogfriendly too. Everything is absolutely great. The view on terrace is amazing! The team very friendly! We love this place! If u like the nature and first class food and service you should go there. We use to eat out regularly in Miami, Barcelona and Vienna and I have to admit that we loved your place. You will love it too. Try the Gelber...

We were there with a guest from Sweden and had a great evening. We chose the seasonal menu and loved each dish. The wine selection was also great and additionally also the selection of anti-alcoholic drinks is very good. The service was good and the staff also had very good English skill. It has been a bit loud on that day because there was an event. We will come back another time to try out the new part of the restaurant :-) It is a nice walk from Thalersee with great view before you arrive at...
