Gasthof Alpenblick — Restaurant in Tobadill

Stayed in this guesthouse for 5 nights over new year. The place is run by a flemish family who have managed to make it both a nice and cosy place to stay for tourists as well as a meeting point for the locals. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We ate all our dinners there except for one and were very happy. We stayed in room no.4 described by other guests as being not so pleasant since it is situated above the smoking room on the ground floor. We were, however, not bothered by either smoke or noise. In the smaller side room, some noise could be heard from probably other rooms or the staircase (squeaking floor/woodwork of the house when people moved around), but it did not reach a level that was annoying. All in all, a very nice place which can be recommended. On top of it, the scenery is very nice as the village is situated a bit up on the mountain and, for skiing, both major ski resorts of St. Anton as well as Ischgl are within a...

This is basiclally a nice little hotel in a very rural location well situated for the various ski resorts in the area. We have friends who have stayed here and recommended it to us. We were however given a bedroom above their smoker's lounge (room 4). This room is used by the locals as a pub and it is impossible to sleep through the noise. During our six night stay there were two occasions when we could not sleep until the small hours. We brought this up with the owners who simply denied that there was any sort of problem saying that we were the first people to complain - not a good response. You should not be made to feel bad if you have a legitimate concern. Also the smell of cigarette smoke wafts up the staircase and hangs in the landing. In summary we would not want to put anyone off staying here but we would strongly suggest you give room four...
