What a great find … such a treat!!
HOTEL TRINSERHOF, located conveniently between Innsbruck, Austria and the border of Italy, Brenner, was recommended to us and we decided to try it. What a great find!! The HOTEL TRINSERHOF, on the edge of town, is surrounded by beautiful meadows, mountains and creeks with breath-taking views of the valley and the splendid glacial backdrop. This multi-generational, family-run hotel is absolutely a delight … you feel Family Covi’s personal touch, passion, love and care for their family traditions as soon as you walk through the doors. Their personal attention make you feel right at home. You enter into a typical Tyrolean ambience – a place of warmth and Alpine charm, with two wooden-paneled Tyrolean Stübens. With a fire roaring in the fireplace, it was a fun place for a bite to eat, get a coffee and Apfel Strudel, play games or just hang. There is also a quaint bar with a good selection of wines, beer and some cocktails. The main dining room is a bright, warm space right off a beautiful terrace with breathtaking views looking towards the glacier. The bedrooms are all tastefully done, each one a different style, combining old with new. We had a room with a balcony and a spectacular view. We found all the prices to be very reasonable. We appreciated that there were no ‘hidden charges’ upon check-out.
There are wonderful options and various trails for all seasons – all nearby – various levels - for hiking, skiing, sledding, cross-country, etc. Once you get back, there is an outdoor pool for a plunge, an indoor pool as well as a sauna. If you are lucky, you might hit one of their scheduled events such as concert from the village music group in their Trachten and Dirndls, a book reading or an art class from a local artist. Thank you again, Family Covi for making our stay such a delightful part of our travels. What a great find … and...

Read moreI was fortunate enough to spend some of my Christmas holidays at the Hotel Trinserhof. It was one of the most pleasant vacations of my life. The service and hospitality was warm, genuine, enthusiastic, and just the right mix of formality and informality. I felt at home and always welcomed by the staff. One of the highlights of my stay was when the Hotel had hired some actors to create an evening of entertainment for us. It was so much fun, and I hope it's something they consider for future events or special holidays. Finally, as probably every other review has remarked upon, the area itself is simply stunning. I had the impression from the moment I stepped off the bus that I had stepped back into time, into an interstellar timelessness if you will. It was magical. The mountains slowed down my breathing, and I could feel the pace of everything just taking its own time. In large parts of the world today, this is now almost an impossible feeling to discover. If you are looking for that moment 'out of time', I recommend the Hotel Trinserhof wholeheartedly, especially since its prices are so affordable and reasonable. My sincere regards to the staff and...
