The restaurant is at the same level as the top of Salzburg,, It's quit warm inside, so you can both rest and relax of the extreme coldness outside,, It was self service restaurant, we honestly didn't try the food, but we took a cake and hot chocolate, and both were great, and it's worth mentioning that there prices are extremely reasonable for a place like this, there is even some prices that's exactly the same as any other place,, Any one going all this way, must stop here and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with the...

The best part 1st..food is soooo good!!!! 😊 thank you. After such view of the top of Salzburg..and of course skiing in the cold you get so hungry that almost everything tastes good but food in this restaurant is really good. Please try the pasta and spaghetti if you are pasta fan...

The price is also very good.Pasta are some 10 euros with quite big servings

Gipfel Restaurant – Praktisch gelegen, aber überfüllt und systemgastronomisch

Das Gipfel Restaurant punktet durch seine hervorragende Lage direkt bei der Gipfelwelt 3000 und der Aussichtsplattform der Hohe Tauern National Park Gallery. Man kann hier bequem eine Pause einlegen, bevor man die Abfahrt startet. Allerdings muss man sich darauf einstellen, dass es zur Mittagszeit extrem voll ist. Ich habe bei meinem Besuch eine halbe Stunde auf einen Sitzplatz gewartet. Wer zur Mittagszeit hochfährt, sollte definitiv Geduld mitbringen.

Gerade für Familien ist es eine Herausforderung, einen Platz zu finden, ohne vorher lange zu warten. Wenn man nicht früh genug da ist, kann es schwierig werden, überhaupt einen Tisch zu bekommen. Es könnte ratsamer sein, den Besuch auf den frühen Vormittag zu legen oder später zu essen.

Das Essen selbst entspricht typischer systemgastronomischer Qualität – es ist okay, aber nichts Besonderes. Es gibt eine Hütte etwa 50 Meter tiefer, die kulinarisch möglicherweise bessere Optionen bietet, wenn man nicht unbedingt auf den Ausblick angewiesen ist. In jedem Fall ist es eine Überlegung wert, die Aussicht zu genießen und das Essen vielleicht in einem anderen, weniger überfüllten Restaurant einzunehmen.

Fazit: Tolle Lage, aber das Restaurant ist zur Mittagszeit extrem überlaufen, und die Essensqualität ist eher durchschnittlich. Wer die Aussicht genießen möchte, sollte sich auf eine lange Wartezeit einstellen oder früh da...
