The most important first: Groißböck is the place to get the world's best Krapfen. I am serious.

For all the ignorants out there, that is a fluffy, fried treat of sweet dough with various options for fillings. Apricot jam is the classic, vanilla 'custard' (only better) and I believe apple purreé as well as Powidl are available. Look that up yourself or just come try one.

The Krapfen alone deserve 6 out of 5 stars and I eat way too many of them.

Groißböck has a big counter where a phletora of pastries, cakes and sweet things find their new owners. Briefly! 😉🎂🍰🥧🍩🍪😍

Two separate seating areas are available to stay and try the special breakfast offers, the daily lunch menu or just stuff yourself with all the cake you can fit on the table. Coffee ☕, tea 🍵 and hot chocolate 🔥🍫are obviously available. I think some ice cream as well. 🤔🍨?

I like the place for the prompt service even when full - which it generally is when I get there. The breakfast options with the fresh rolls and the Krapfen would all put this place at 5 stars.

The tables are rather small and will be crowded with your orders. Workable but not lovely. The tables in the compartmentalized space (non-smokers 🚭/ smokers🚬) will also be very close to each other.

That is better on the other side of the place. When you step in and stand in front of the counter, head to the right. ➡️Preferred location, but less seats.

One star was dropped from my review because a) it still has a smoker's section that takes away available room for the people that actually intend to taste their food, and b) because that space is only separated from the non-smokers section by a glass wall with a swing door. That opens regularly.

It's not super annoying, but yeah. Enough for me to downgrade from loving a lovable place to liking it a lot!

Leider Gottes war dieses Mal mein Besuch in diesem Lokal seht enttäuschend. Das Personal unkompitent und desinteressiert 😑! Wollte für mein Sohn eine Geburtstags Torte bestellen. Habe mich auf ein Kaffe und eine Süßspeise hingesetzt, und mein Sohn hat sich eine Kakao und eine Sacher Torte bestellt. Die Kellnerin sehr unfreundlich, desinteressiert und unhöflich! Ich habe Sie beobachtet das Sie zur jeden Kunden so wahr .. sehr schroff! Ich machte mir Gedanken um Sie , ich machte mir Gedanken auch darum warum wir uns nicht wohl fühlten. Ich fand es raus... Sie Lächelte über Haupt nicht , gar nicht , auch wenn die Kunden sich bedankten und lächelten.. ! Es kam nichts von ihr ! Zuerst ärgerte mich das , aber dann tat Sie mir leid. Nachdem ich meine Geburtstags Torte bestellt und bezahlt habe Verlies ich das Geschäft!! Nach 5 Minuten kam ein Anruf , ich hätte vergessen meinen Kaffe und die restlichen Sachen zu bezahlen. Ja . Es stimmte ich hatte es wirklich vergessen. Eine Schande über mich !! Ich fuhr sofort zürück, betrat das Geschäft und entschuldigte mich beim Verkaufspersonal !
