Josef — Restaurant in Villach

First of all, this place is creepy. Dressed mannequins are standing after the entrance, and the vibrating red lights just make it even creepier.

We booked a table ON THEIR WEBSITE. We chose the last available slot, which was 20:45. We were 7 minutes late, and we were kept waiting for another 5. Then the 'waiter' (a young guy probably working after school) asked his colleague (who was a very similar young girl) what they could do. Then, the conclusion was that the kitchen was closed, and they could only give us a chicken salad and a wiener schnitzel.

So, if the last available slot on their website was 20:45 and we would have arrived on time, we would probably have been kept also waiting for another 5 minutes, leaving 10 minutes to get seated, read the menu, choose the drinks and the food, get the food prepared and served.

I highly doubt it. If the place is open until 22:00, as advertised, how could this happen? Why don't they arrange their booking slots accordingly? Customer service is an unknown term here and the reviews are provided only by...

We stopped on the way from Slovenia to Germany to eat some good "Schnitzel". The portion sizes were generous, the food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast - despite the place being very busy at the time.

For reference, the entire parking lot was maxed out. Almost all tables full. Yet we got served immediately, with attention and the food arrived with only a short wait. The Schnitzel were thin and crispy, with a large side of fries and Ketchup aswell as berry-jam and a slice of lemon. The only improvement suggestion I have is to add pepper/salt shakers to the table. Personally I would've liked a bit more salt...

Such a racist, greedy place!!! Had a hair in the sauce on top of the meat And they charged it fully and accused us!!! And they said it cant be from the kitchen or from the waiters, it never happens there! And they accused us of putting the hair, we all have black hair and the one inside the food light colour short one! They spoke very racist words, unfortunately i understand german! Could be a nice local restaurant untill that moment but their attitude made everything a catastrophe!! Never go there unless you wanna...
