Fantastic dinner with great service. Parking is free, there's a qr code in the menu to register your car (and avoid being towed). We had a one night stop in Austria and made reservations mostly based on the view. The restart had mixed reviews, but seemed to have gotten better with new ownership so we decided to give them a try. It's a nice little place right on the water. They have limited seating on the water and since we were celebrating a special event, I reserved one of the lakeside tables a few weeks in advance. This is important because they will actually hold your table for you! I've made many reservations in the past where the reservation is basically meaningless, particularly for good seating. Here, they honor their word, our lakeside table was made ready for us as soon as we arrived. We reserved for 8 (with an advertised closing time of 9), to see the sunset over the lake. It was beautiful. Our service was "European attentive". As an American, we're generally used to a bit more interaction with the waitstaff but having them a little more distant can be seen as a blessing. Our dinner took more like 2 hours, but despite it being almost an hour after closing time, we were never rushed or given "the look." In fact, the owners asked us if we'd like to share an aperitif on our way out. Our food was very good. I had a salad, my wife had trout, both were prepared well and nicely presented. This is a beach side restaurant with an ice cream bar, yet care was made in the preparation and presentation of the food. The menu suggests that the food is sourced as locally as is possible, some of it very local. We had a very nice evening and a delicious meal.

We enjoyed the sunset very much during our 2 nights stay. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. Recommend to book a table by the lake to enjoy the great scenery. The room price is reasonable with all the great lake views. But indeed 5he room needs to be renovated and maybe slightly cleaned. But if I have chance to visit there, I'll definitely go staying there again for the views.

This was our last, and very sad, experience with this hotel. We have been coming here for a family holiday for five years. At first, we were absolutely thrilled: great location right on Lake Attersee, wonderful staff, nothing was ever a problem. For dinner, fresh fish straight from the lake, and rich breakfasts with an excellent selection of regional products. But year after year, something was missing. The hotel deteriorated, was not maintained, everywhere something was broken or simply out of order, and – unfortunately – in the common areas there was dirt that hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, I mean really old dirt, not just dust or sand from the beach. Dead flies everywhere, cobwebs, hallways used as storage for broken furniture, etc. On the first day of our stay the elevator broke down and stayed broken for the entire time – and the third floor without an elevator is quite a problem for our 75-year-old father. At the same time, there was no heating in the rooms: when asked, the receptionist said that summer was over and at the end of summer, they don’t heat. OK, late September may still be considered summer, but when it’s 12 degrees outside, it’s not exactly comfortable in the rooms anymore. The quality of breakfast also dropped terribly, whether because of the absence of staff in general (is it normal that the receptionist comes during breakfast to tell you that if you want eggs, you should ask, and she’ll make them?), or because of the food itself: all week long there were just a few dried-out slices of ham and cheese, with a couple of new ones added each morning. The fruit (sliced pineapple and orange) turned brown between Monday and Friday. The once homemade jams and honey were replaced by prefabricated portions in plastic – and for that you pay €10 per person per day… Together with €140 per night for the room, this is nothing we’d like to repeat. Good luck to the new tenants – and let us know once you’re back in shape.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights with my family of four in July 2025. The location is very good, directly bordering the lake. Swimming was very nice and there is a lawn with loungers and a little playground. The breakfast room offers panoramic views of the lake as well. That said, this isn’t the most beautiful part of the lake, which is further south where the backdrop is mountainous rather than flat.|We had two double rooms that weren’t very nice, to be honest. The furniture looked decades old, rather tasteless, and quite tired. The bathrooms could do with an update as well. There was no A/C, no coffee/tea station and no safe (just a drawer that could be locked).|The staff were friendly but not very helpful. The reception isn’t signposted and isn’t easy to find. One has to walk through the restaurant to get there. Even though my booking was obviously for a family, we got rooms on two different floors. Breakfast times had to be booked ahead of time, but then none of the staff cared about that reservation. As consequently one could have showed up at any time, why bother guests with mandatory online reservations in the first place? |Breakfast was good, though. It was buffet style with good quality food and...
