Glockneralm — Restaurant in Zell am See

We have visited the place since 2015, it used to be our favourite place with all the knick-knacks, great atmosphere, wonderful people, food...unfortunately, the new place turned out to be a nightmare. We entered the room, nothing special, we sat at the table, suddenly a huge, furious guy appeared. He told us, the table had been already booked, although there was no inf , no notice on the table. He said he was a reservation...mhmm, he ordered us to leave and queue outside. I asked him to call the boss. He angrily answered that he was the owner and the boss in person. I told him that we had been the guests for years and in this case we would never come back. He said, get lost and never come back....so we did. The restaurant changed for the worse, lost its charm. I hope the real owners will do sth with the person who treats the customers...

A very nice place, good food, we ate pizza, in rush hours it is difficult to place an order, keep that in mind a lot of people stop here. Generally the place is very nice but when we tried ordering drinks by the bar a young blonde girl started shouting at us that we can not order coffee nor any drink at the bar., which is a bit enjoying. We need to seat at tabel. I can understand that there are many customers especially during lunch time but there is no need to rise your voice and shout at customers. I asked the girl to lower her voice and that I do not wish to be shouted at but still she was raising her voice at us. On the other hand the waiter who was outside was extremely helpful. So I guess that not everyone who works here handles well the pressure of working in busy environment. The views and the sun...

Ein wunderbarer Ort. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass man mit dem eigenen Auto nicht dorthin gelangen kann, aber dadurch gibt es keinen Verkehr und es ist sehr ruhig. Zu den Vorteilen gehört, dass die Sommerkarte im Übernachtungspreis inbegriffen ist, die Ihnen die Nutzung der Seilbahnen ermöglicht. Das Auto kann unten geparkt werden, und wenn Sie nicht in der Lage sind, den Weg von der Bergstation selbst zu gehen, werden Sie mit dem Auto abgeholt und zum Hotel gebracht (rufen Sie einfach an der Rezeption an). Sehr saubere und gemütliche Zimmer, und der Blick aus dem Fenster ist jeden Schritt wert, den ich zu Fuß hierher gemacht habe. Leckere Küche, freundliches Personal, viele Wanderwege in der Umgebung. Ich empfehle einen Besuch sehr.

A wonderful place. The only downside is that it's impossible to reach it by car, but because of this, there's no traffic and it's very quiet. On the plus side, the accommodation price includes a summer card that allows you to use the lifts. You can leave your car at the bottom and take the lift up. If you can't make it from the top of the lift to the hotel on your own, you can call the reception, and they will pick you up by car and take you to the hotel. The rooms are very clean and cozy, and the view from the window is worth every step I took to walk up here. Delicious cuisine, friendly staff, and many hiking trails around. Highly...
