Very bad experience:
The bill should be $8 + service, but they wanted to charge me $11, and it took 10 minutes for them to explain me the crazy reason why they added a pepper (that I’m allergic to and I didn’t order) so it would be $2 more. I don’t like this kind of scam, even less to waste time explaining things that are obvious. Even the manager/owner wanted to keep charging for it, instead of assuming their mistake/scam (how much does it cost a pepper for so big drama, instead of simply removing it from the bill?). Wifi only works in half of the space. Food was great.
NOTE: on the next day I met one staff of the restaurant at the Caravanserai and he said that I’m a Brazilian gangster, because I wrote a bad review. Did I try to leave from the place without paying? Did I damage something? I paid the bill (and even the additional for the service), I just didn’t pay for something I didn’t order and didn’t eat. It’s not welcoming to discriminate someone because of their nationality, even after I complimented the taste of the food both in person and in...
Read moreVery pleasant, authentic restaurant of the more demanding variety. Beautiful and huge interior, but there is also a large terrace. Entrance from the side, at the top of the stairs. One of the most famous restarurant to try the local specialty, Şəki pitisi. Try Şəki pitisi carefully, the meat is very tallowed and unseasoned compared to western flavors. At the same time, they add raw salads and raw spices and sumac. The added pickles are very salty and sour for western tastes (pickles should be eaten in Hungary). Their fried letcho meat on iron is very delicious (although I would make it with less oil). Prices are average locally, the service is good. Get ready to pay in cash.

Read moreI recently dined at this restaurant that completely missed the mark with their food presentation and dietary respect. I ordered a vegetarian dish, but what arrived was a plate that included both vegetables and meat jumbled together.
It felt incredibly disrespectful, not just to vegetarians but to the integrity of the meal itself.
The waiter struggled to understand our requests due to a language barrier, leading to mix-ups with our orders. Despite our attempts to communicate clearly, the service was frustrating and resulted in several incorrect dishes.
The photos on the menu were incredibly misleading. What I received bore no resemblance to the dish shown on the menu.
Overall, a disappointing experience that left me questioning their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. I won't be returning anytime soon.
