Flo's Conch Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Berry Islands

This was an unforgettable experience. Make reservations. Don’t miss a rare opportunity to get to know the Bahamas and a true Bahamian in a way that is without comparison. We left with bellies full of delicious, freshly prepared food (and maybe, possibly a little too much Flo’s Famous Rum Punch). But also much more than that. I felt so honored to have shared Chester’s island with him even just for a short time. Peacocks entertaining the kids so we could chat was a bonus. Spotting turtles, sharks, rays and a million colorful fish right off the dock was a bonus. In fact everything else, including the food (which is painstakingly prepared with all the constraints a remote rock in the Atlantic Ocean presents) is simply a bonus to the greater experience of connecting with these islands in a deeper way than is possible anywhere else. Chester is a once in a lifetime character. This is a very, very special place. Only accessible by boat, Flo's Conch Bar makes delicious food, and the staff are friendly, and companionable. They have a little protected 'harbor' area where you can anchor, then dinghy up to the pier for dinner.
