Merport Bistro — Restaurant in City of Freeport

We were blown away by the charming patio and decided to stay for lunch. Inside was linen table cloth and outside was a patio that felt like a southern veranda with lovely lattice and dappled light. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. The menu was varied and took advantage of the freshest Ingredients. We were fortunate to have wahoo as the fish of the day and it was cooked to perfection. The sides of vegetables were also cooked to perfection, and the scalloped potatoes were great. I had the veggie quiche which my very discerning wife said was one of the best and fluffiest she has ever had. If you like mushrooms, Ali's Famous Mushrooms on toasted French bread is a treat. I will be recommending Meriport Bistro to all my friends that travel...

We have eaten here twice. The food is very good. Our second time the orders were totally wrong. My wife ordered the double eggs Benedict, and my daughter and I ordered two French Toast, on white bread. He repeated back the order, single eggs Benedict, two French Toast one white one whole wheat. We corrected him. My wife got her double Benedict, we got one white, one whole wheat (plain) toast and jam. We said they were supposed to be French Toast and he went to fix it. After 20 minutes we gave up waiting. I wish he'd written the order down instead of going by memory. Update: we have been back several times since the above incident. The service has been excellent and the food delicious. I am giving them an additional star...

Sitting stateside dreaming about the breakfast from our trip to Freeport in July. If only there wasn’t an gulf between us. The staff, ambiance, price point and best of all food was amazing. We went back on our final day after discovering the café on our second to last day on the island. The staff knew it was our last day and helped move our meal along so we could still make our flight on time and enjoy our last meal on the island. Truly wonderful people and you could see they had a loyal following of regulars. Hoping to have breakfast there again...
