A Culinary Delight at Coco Plum Bistro
During my recent trip to Exuma, Bahamas, I had the pleasure of dining at Coco Plum Bistro, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the bistro’s charming ambiance and warm hospitality.
Atmosphere and Service:
The restaurant is beautifully situated with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Although I wanted to eat outside, our reservations were made for inside. Nonetheless, the indoor atmosphere was still very nice, with a cozy and inviting ambiance. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every need was met without being intrusive.
The Food:
The highlight of the evening, of course, was the food. I started with the conch fritters, which were an absolute delight. They were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a delicious dipping sauce that added just the right amount of kick. For the main course, I opted for the Flint Steak & Fries. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and accompanied by perfectly seasoned fries. It was a hearty and satisfying meal that showcased the quality of ingredients and the skill of the chefs.
For dessert, I indulged in a serving of rich chocolate ice cream, accompanied by a refreshing piña colada. The combination was the perfect end to a fantastic meal, providing a sweet and tropical finish.
Celebration:
We dined at Coco Plum Bistro in celebration of my 6-year-old son’s birthday. The staff went out of their way to make the occasion special, adding a personal touch to our dining experience that made it even more memorable.
Overall Experience:
Coco Plum Bistro exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of exquisite cuisine, a charming atmosphere, and top-notch service made for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a fan of Caribbean flavors, or just looking for a great place to enjoy a meal in Exuma, I highly recommend Coco Plum Bistro.
I can’t wait for my next visit to...
Read moreI visited Coco Plum Bistro in Exuma, Bahamas, multiple times during my trip. Overall, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and my initial visits were pleasant. While not every staff member stood out for exceptional service, my first couple of experiences were positive enough to warrant a return.
However, my last visit on Monday completely soured my overall impression of the restaurant. After being presented with the check, my girlfriend and I assumed the payment process was complete since, as is common in the U.S., the tip is added post-payment. We stood up to leave, only to be met with an unnecessarily hostile attitude from a staff member who wore a red shirt and glasses and appeared to have dreadlocks. I don’t know her name, nor do I particularly care to, but her behavior was unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful.
Her tone and demeanor not only left my girlfriend and me feeling uncomfortable but also seemed to negatively affect the diners seated nearby. This incident cast a shadow over what had previously been a pleasant dining experience.
I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but professionalism, respect, and a basic level of customer service should remain consistent, especially in the hospitality industry. I strongly recommend that this staff member undergo professional training to improve her interpersonal skills and learn how to handle guests with kindness and tact. Additionally, the restaurant could benefit from revisiting its payment process to avoid unnecessary confusion and frustration for future guests.
Unfortunately, this experience has left me hesitant to recommend Coco Plum Bistro to others. While the setting and initial visits were enjoyable, one bad interaction with unprofessional staff can undo a lot of goodwill.

Read moreWhat a great restaurant. We celebrated my grandson’s 6th birthday here, the entire staff and patrons sang happy birthday and of course that made my heart smile. As for the food, honestly, it was the absolute best Lobster Thermidor ever, even better than in Sausalito & France. The Caesar Salad was adorned with the most amazing homemade dressing with hints of anchovies … A B S O L U T E L Y delicious!’ And OMG, the conch fritters were to die for , large chunks of conch and seasoned to perfection. One of my daughters had the snapper fillet which she said was superb and well seasoned. My other daughter had the grilled flank steak which she states was super tender and better than some of our top “Brazilian” restaurants in Miami & Ft. Lauderdale. I’d be remiss if I didn’t comment on the Pasta with homemade tomato sauce, which came from the kids menu, my grandson had (2) bowls and the servings are pretty hefty. He said that it was better than my pasta 🥲, and he’s right, I have to admit it too was delicious, like everything else. And you owe it to yourself to have a their Nutella crepe, it’s worth the few extra pounds 😂. As you can tell we “ALL” really enjoyed our dinner. This was the “BEST” little hidden Gem. If ever in Exuma and you want Phenomenal food, great service and a wonderful experience, this is your place; “ COCOPLUM BISTRO” can’t...
