Sorely disappointed in most all parts of the meal, and felt a score of two might better fit the meal. The surroundings and location as well as the view were purely spectacular. We chose Lamb Chops and the NY steak dinner. Would order a Salad w the chops only to receive a Full size salad w dinner, enough for 3 at $15 extra.. how to eat a salad while dinner gets cold. The fried shrimp ordered by my husband as an appetizer did come out pre entree however. The shrimp were clearly pre breaded and refrigerated to a stiff crust ( with heavily Italian spiced breacrumbs slightly overpowering the mild shrimp flavor) not to my liking.. oh well, there were 4 each. Wine tonwhich two reds I ordered, one Chianti, then a Merlot... seemed to have been ‘breathing’ for at least a day, maybe a week, hence the vinegar taste. Entrees, the lamb was lightly seasoned w salt and pepper only, and felt rubbery and firm as if was pulled straight from the freeze straight to the oven... quite bland and not at all seasoned as I am used to in my Lamb. My husbands steak was seasoned w a teriyaki sauce and he thought was quite ok.. chef came to table because in addition, the vegetable/potato medley came out cold under our meats and we had just thought, please just make it all hot and we’ll fill our tummies and move along w the check. Not returning and purely disappointed and for one of only a couple higher end Resturants on the island. We keep heading to the Grand Isle’s foodery, it’s pretty and pleasing in both quality...
Read moreWhile the February Point resort restaurant delivers on stunning views and seafood, it attracts too many flies! The flies were really a detractor and I lost count of how many swarmed over my food. It was a bummer and upon request the waitress brought out a citronella candle. Why weren't we given a candle in the 1st place?
I wish there was Vegetarian Pasta dish listed on the menu. I ordered the linguine dish without the seafood, and the pasta didn't quite soak up the runny cream sauce. Sadly the dish doesn't work well without the missing main seafood ingredient. There was a slight variation pasta dish that the waitress offered, which alas I should have taken the recommendation. Wish it was listed on the menu so I could see a description and know what I'm ordering!
The Goat Cheese Croquette Salad was delicious! A garden salad with a mound of goat cheese and not really a croquette that I was expecting.
Saving the best for last was the Key Lime Pie with a nice anniversary note. Very thoughtful and sweet! The fresh pie was divine and almost as good as the Keys.
It was a pleasant surprise seeing the cuddly cat - Rusty circling the restaurant. With dazzling ocean views and an infinity pool, the restaurant has so much to offer and needs to amp up their menu and service to match the elegant ambiance. Please get rid of the flies and add a vegetarian pasta dish to the menu and...
Read moreOkay food, but extremely poor customer service! Unfortunately this is a trend in Exuma and I hope it really changes soon since it’s such a wonderful vacation spot. The server at this restaurant who was an older male, tried to rush us into placing our order from the time arrived and told us that there was just one chef working, they had another big group he had to serve and the kitchen closed at 7. I politely told him that’s not our problem. However, we saw a couple who arrived at 7:30pm, and observed the service was completely different (far better and the same server was very attentive) vs. our table of 8 where we were hardly checked on for any drink refills or otherwise. We had to look for the server to get the check and even though the check included gratuity, the server was bold to ask for a tip. Ridiculous! After telling others about our service who went to this same restaurant before they mentioned that the service given to non-white guests is horrible. The fact that this local black server looks down on his own, he should definitely not be in the...
