I have never faced such bad behavior before. All the service providers were rude and ill-mannered. I went to Rangamati from Dhaka thinking to have lunch there, It was my 2nd-time visiting there. First time experience wasn't that good anyway but I thought it might have happened because it was a rush time. So I accepted the first time and was thinking about going again. But unfortunately, it was a horrible mistake of ours. Their behavior to food nothing was good. While ordering they will influence you to order the already-cooked food rather than the fresh one. Even after telling them you are ready to wait still, they will insist on the cooked item. Another thing is, they asked for advance payment while ordering. We were 4 people, so we ordered deshi chicken curry, loitta vorta, alu vorta, chapila fry and daal. We asked them to replace one chicken piece between 4 pieces and warm the fish fry somehow because it was cold and hard to chew. And they just simply said after serving food they can't do anything. So what I understand even if I can't eat, they have nothing to do. I accepted that they couldn't do anything about the fish but how come they couldn't replace one piece of chicken!!!! We repeatedly requested them, but they just said NO rudely at one point and told us they can't replace but will take it back!! Never faced this sort of behavior in my entire life. Berannye is beautiful lakeside resort with 4 couple cottages (3k per room with complimentary breakfast). The whole area has great ambience with many swings, hammocks and nice sitting arrangements. The cottage rooms are quite spacious with a queen sized bed, an almirah, a divan, attached bathroom and lakeview baranda. Service was also top-notch as they came to our aid whenever they're called. You have to call/order beforehand if you wish to have any meals here. The place has a lot of cats & dogs, which can be great for animal lovers but a bit frightening for some. However, during the night, there's an infestation of bugs so you’re adviced to keep the windows and doors shut after the evening. While our experience was very good and the manager was very helpful, helping us to get CNGs at a lower fare. I expected a bit tidier room. The Kayaking experience was also great, as the view was breathtaking during the sunset and they also allow discounted rate for people who stay at their cottage.
