Daddy's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in undefined

This is a great little venue for some reason we priced and very tasty food. However I’ve given it three stars because of the frankly rude service from our waitress! She didn’t greet us with a smile, didn’t check in on Food to see how it was and at the end of the meal just announced the total without even saying please, or asking if we enjoyed our meal. We gave a larger note than the total of our bill and she clearly had no intention of coming back with our change until we had to make a point of asking. I understand that people working in the hospitality industry mostly rely on tips, But firstly a tip isn’t mandatory, secondly you can’t do your job acting like you’d rather be anywhere else and still expect a tip, and thirdly, you should always bring the customer change and allow them to decide. I came here thinking the experience would be great based on the reviews, but I should’ve known that any restaurant called daddy’s would be a disappointment. First off, the food is extremely expensive but I thought it would be delicious and the portions would be huge. Turns out, the portions are small and the food tastes fine but not extraordinary. There are also a lot of creepy men who just hang around, staring at you and doing nothing. I think they work there or at least know the owners? I’d never eaten here before on previous trips to Barbados but my sister had and raved about it. This place is right on Dover Beach about 400 meters to the sea which is a nice touch.

I ordered ribs and chips and it took it sweet time coming I can tell you that. Granted it was evening and the place was buzzing with music and people having a drink and good time but the food took it’s time. It tasted really good so no real complaints there, it was a bit more pricey than those around it though.
