Stayed here for a work trip for 4 nights (Sunday to Thursday).|I arrived quite late at night, rang the bell for reception and someone promptly came out to see me. Checked in I was given my room key which was room no. 6. I walked to my room, found the room and tried the key fob, it didn’t work. A lady then opened the door and explained that it was her room...|I was on my way back to reception when the man on reception confirmed I was going in the wrong direction. I explained I had been given room no. 6 and he confirmed it was wrong and it should have said room no. 2. He then kindly showed me to my room. An honest and easy mistake, so this was no problem.|I arrived in my room, quite pleasant, really lovely bathroom with separate toilet, but a couple of basics missing and simple things that were needed in my opinion...|1. No hand soap, although body lotion, shower cap, shower gel & shampoo are included? No hand soap included for the 4 nights I was there.|2. Towels - only one small hand towel and a small/medium sized bath towel included for the room. For the price of the hotel and style I would have expected a bigger towel or at least 2 towels.|3. Lighting - main lighting is fairly dim and did flicker, but this is no problem as there is a table lamp, although this did not work when I tried it. I did however leave a note and the following day this was replaced.|4. TV - volume did not work, although channels and content ok. |5. Kettle - I requested a separate kettle for the room as I was feeling unwell and wanted to make myself some hot drinks rather than using the coffee machine water. This arrived, but the following day was removed again from the cleaners. As they could see I was still staying there, I’m not sure why they would remove this, but also not a major issue, just more of an annoyance.||For any amenities, there is a shop a short walk away, so hand soap I was able to purchase and food/water etc for the room I could get easily.|The breakfast is good and staff very friendly. The building is nice and well thought out.|This was a work trip, so not my own personal money, however; I would not chose to stay here using my own budget, I think there are nicer hotels in the area. |I did not eat the restaurant food, so cannot...
Read moreStayed here last year on a Sunday when the restaurant was closed, even more upset now that I know what we missed. Last night of a 15 day motorcycle tour to Eastern Europe (first night last year) and a good end to a great trip.||The whole place is excellent, rooms a very good size and fitted out well, very good shower and plenty of space. On site parking although not fully secure not a problem. Staff were helpful and some did speak English, breakfast was simple but only one waiter on who also (when we had all nearly finished) asked if anyone wanted eggs and bacon.||Back to the restaurant, the meal was a set meal for 20 people (vegetarian option included). Presentation could not be faulted, each course was fully described to us (in English) and excellent to eat with wine included in our package.||Well Done. Best hotel...
