I have been to many Mado restaurants in Turkey, and I am even someone who orders Mado to my home in Istanbul. With the same expectation and excitement, I brought my husband and daughter to Antwerp Mado. Firstly, the first impression was good, the environment was clean, the employees were friendly and quite polite.
We ordered cheese pide, hunkar begendi, yogurt meatballs, and a meze plate.
Cheese pide: We had better ones before, but it wasn't bad.
Hunkar begendi: It was really bad. There was a strange sour taste in the begendi sauce. I asked them to take it away after a few bites because the smell was even disturbing.
Yogurt meatballs: It was really the worst meatball I have ever eaten in my life. They just mixed minced meat and salt and made meatballs. No taste, no flavor, no aroma. It was served with a strange tomato sauce and yogurt.
Meze plate: It was okay. It was better than the main courses we ate, but it was very inadequate in terms of taste and did not make us happy.
The last thing we ordered, tea, was the best part because it was good.
I hope you will start offering meals that are suitable to our classic Turkish cuisine and Mado quality by completing these deficiencies in...

The staff speaks nothing but turkish which was a bit uncomfortable for my non-turkish...
