Muhabbet — Restaurant in Antwerp

Great meat, but everything else needs serious improvement.

I visited Muhabbet Antwerpen recently, and while the quality of the meat was truly top-notch — juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection — and the prices are quite fair compared to other BBQ spots, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

First, the atmosphere: what should’ve been a lively vibe turned into something almost unbearable. The live singer literally yells while performing, making it hard to enjoy the music or have a conversation. It feels more like a concert gone wrong than a dinner out.

Second, the service was chaotic, to say the least. Around 15 staff members running around with no coordination. Most of them seemed to be just delivering ice and water. We had to wait anywhere from several minutes to almost an hour to get basic things we asked for — it was frustrating.

Then there’s the pricing for non-alcoholic drinks — 12€ for a virgin mojito? That’s just excessive, especially considering the rest of the menu is reasonably priced.

Finally, don’t expect a cozy or private dining experience. The tables are extremely close to each other — almost elbow to elbow with your neighbors.

In short: come for the meat, but lower your expectations for...

The appetizers and meat were very fresh and delicious. The staff was always friendly and quick to our requests. We had a very enjoyable time with our family. My son, who encountered the piano for the first time, was very happy. Live music started later in the day. The artist, who has a wonderful voice, entertained us very well. Having such a place in Belgium made me and my family very happy. We felt at home. I definitely recommend it to everyone. Especially the red meat section...

Een stijlvolle. Beste Turkse restaurant in Antwerpen! Heerlijke authentieke Turkse gerechten in een zeer sfeer- en stijlvol ingericht restaurant met vriendelijk personeel.

Van maandag tot donderdag kan je kiezen voor een vaste menu. Voor- hoofd- en nagerecht. Prijzen staan online. Op vrijdag heb je a la carte. Je wordt vriendelijk onthaald aan een stijlvolle ingerichte inkom wat ook een apparte vestiaire heeft.

Eens ze u een tafel aanduiden kan het genot beginnen. Het restaurant zelf is warm en stijlvol ingericht.

Je kan als voorgerecht kiezen tussen verschillende mezze's, dat ook geserveerd staat aan het toog zodat je zelf kan kiezen je krijgt ook uitleg. Daarna kan je kiezen tussen verschillende soorten vis en vlees. Ze brengen alles aan tafel. En je kan beginnen te bakken op het BBQ in het midden van je tafel.

Het bakken gaat vlot en de enorme stijlvolle dampkap zorgt ervoor dat je geen last hebt van rook.

Van het eerste gerecht tot het laatste gerecht hebben wij echt genoten. Op het eten was niets aan te merken, alles was warm, vers en zeer smakelijk.

De eigenaar komt aan elke tafel een praatje slaan, dat maakt de sfeer gemoeddelijk en warm. Er wordt regelmatig gevraagd of je nog wat wilt drinken en of alles naar wens is.

Na half 9 kan je vanaf vrijdag ook genieten van live Turkse muziek. Voor sfeer en gezelligheid en het eten krijgen ze zeker een 10 van ons. Doe zo verder...
